Ohio Democratic Rep. Tim Ryan told Chris Wallace that the Democratic caucus' failure in this past election is due to the fact that their legislators have not concentrated enough on economic issues.
Ryan, 43, who is challenging Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for her House Minority Leader position, said "a robust economic message that covers everybody" is the best prescription for Democrats' success in the future.

I don’t think he said the economy is perpetually crummy BECAUSE of Dem economic policy. I think he means that they didn’t FOCUS on the economy. They need to tell all us more frequently and with greater stridency how super the economy is. We don’t need coal jobs — all the new windmill and solar jobs will replace them. We don’t need cheap energy — solar and wind are good and will provide lots of jobs when we tear down perfectly good coal and nuclear plants. You shouldn’t be concerned when fedgov tells industry where it can and where it can’t locate its plants. Ignore skyrocketing premiums for health insurance and deductibles so high you can never collect a dime from the insurance company (unless you get cancer).
Also, don’t peek under the corner of the rug. That’s where we store all the dead babies. And, if you’re white, well — heh, heh. All bets are off because you are an evil racist and supremacist. But forget we ever said that. Lastly, ignore the flood of low-educated, zero skill enemies of America from all over the world that we import. Because you middle-Americans aren’t going to vote for us any more, we need to import new voters.
Democrats are insane. That simply refuse to read the writing.
Democrats focusing on and actually following thru on jobs?
Since when?
They invented red-tape, increased tax rates on American firms, no tariffs on cheap foreign imports, and winked and nodded when large plants went elsewhere for their operations.
Hugh Hewitt’s show is SO DAMN BORING!!!!! BORING!!!! BORING!!! It is NOT informative or fun at all!! He has the SAME leftist “reporters” that make him look STUPID and he LOVES it!! <>,Hey SALEM...BRING BACK BILL BENNETT or SOMEONE ELSE!!!
And now that word got out socialism sucks, any reversing of the election outcome would totally crash the market.
I know I'm wrong. But those statements really ticked me off.
FIFY.
There is a lot to despise about democrats, but she was much more than that.
1. The economy (specifically, jobs)When Obama took office, he decided to focus on Obamacare. He extended the debt, hurt the economy, increased distrust of government, and ignored national security. McConnell, speaking for the GOP, made defeating Obama the main focus of his party. They thought giving Obama everything he wanted would work against him. In the end, the GOP didn't do much of anything.
2. Dissatisfaction and distrust of government
3. National Security
Both parties lost and gave rise to Trump because they neglected the list and he didn't.
close but no banana!
D’s failed because you Phuqqued up the USA economy for a Hundred MILLION adults out of work, for another 20 or 25 million who can only get part time or entry pay level jobs when they need regular real paying employment to survive
and all the BS about how “well” the economy is
doing..lies LIES LIES only make the widespread economic hardship hurt all the MORE
Yup. He didn’t say anything different from Hillary’s or Obama’s stupid policies. He keeps saying that it’s not how the message that is delivered but he ends up saying: it’s how the message is delivered.
Not impressive.
Ha!
What kind of "robust economic message" can be from a party that has succeeded in making business unviable and employees toxic?
.
So far, all I’ve seen out of the democrats and their lapdog media is 24/7 attacks on Trump.
ROFLMAO Nazi Pelosi.
!st you have to elect the liar, deceiver, democrat, criminal, collectivist, punk, POS, socialist, SCUMBAG, tyrant, totalitarian to find out how bad they are.

So for that reason, despite the fact that were looking at an absolutely horrendous long-term fiscal outlook, I, like Mark, and I think most of us around the table, believe that at least a modest, now this is where people will disagree, but at least a modest increase in the deficit is targeted very strongly on job creation.
"REJECTED!"
And when they do concentrate on economic issues, their ideas are all wrong. More regulations, lousy health insurance, and higher taxes. Yeah, that's the way for more jobs. NOT
The leftards should definitely put pelosi back into the minority speaker job. She has done a bang up job for the right in the last few years
Definition of insanity. Expecting a different result
Oh yeah, the hardships have went up exponentially, ruined more lives than drugs and alcohol.
Just heard NPR about homelessness and affordable housing, nothing a much needed enormous recovery in the private sector and enforcing immigration laws wouldn’t cure a lot of.
This guy is a joke too. Thank the good Lord above for giving us a modern day American Socialist Party. They just do — not— get—it.
White dude going to find out real quick where he stands on the Dem totem poll.
Hillary spent more time during the general campaign schmoozing with her rich friends in the Hamptons than telling worried blue collar families what she was going to do to preserve their jobs and give them a brighter future.
Now they’re just figuring out they didn’t pay attention to the economy? Trump did! But they never answered what they would do to promote economic growth and create jobs.
This isn’t the party of John F. Kennedy. Its running on issues no one cares about and that’s why it keeps on losing elections.
