SNAP/EBT = Corporate + Individual Welfare
I’ve read that around 20% of Wal-Marts food sales are SNAP.
McDonald’s Category................
DRAIN THE SWAMP!!!
I saw that one a few weeks back. Outrageous and she could care less.
This is totally Un-American!
Bacon at #23?
Only when we are paying for it.
Expand the foods allowed on WIC a bit and let that be what they get on our dime.
Milk, juice, whole grain breads, cheese, no sugar cereal, tuna, beans, peanut butter is the current list I believe.
Add in some more meat ration such as a chicken and some ground beef and let it stand.
Why is it ok to restrict the buying of women but not ok to restrict the buying of men?
Hey! What about flour, massa, spices and sugar?
I am actually for ending wealth transfer programs such as this.
Let them go to the food banks - there they do not have all the crap items they can waste other peoples’ money on and still complain how bad they have it.
You can now buy $5 hamburgers at fast food places on EBT in California.
It is time to end all of this wealth transference. They still complain about how bad they have it and it is clear they cannot be entrusted to set proper priorities for good nutrition. Any of them. Let em go to food banks and be given for free, non-craptastic items.
And the headlines will read:
Republicans SLASH food Benefits: Women, Children and Minorities hardest hit
Any vegetables on that list?
Cook county, Ill. just enacted a penny an ounce tax on sugar drinks.
Approx 800k on SNAP in cook county.
I wonder who is going to most affected by this tax ?
Vegetables? Shoot! We ain’t got time fo’ dat!
You heathen.
End all welfare. All of it.
It didn’t really exist before the 50’s and amazingly the US worked just fine.
End subsidized flood insurance. End farm welfare and corporate welfare.
Stop busy body idiot bureaucrats engaging in endless tinkering, social engineering, and wasteful, destructive meddling.
Just stop it all. It sounds compassionate but only creates vast pools of misery.
I grew up in that system. It sucks the soul from those that feed at the trough.
"Clean-up in aisle 3!"
The people who come there really do need help and we provide. We ask that people not take more then they need and while some may take a bit more it is not a great deal. They see the line behind them and know the others are watching if they grab all the meat or packets of cookies.
Peer pressure.
It works.
My ex’s cousin used to put Dr. Pepper in the toddler’s bottle and they were both huge
