Business Insider has joined other websites in dropping the comments function at the end of its articles. "Over time the value of our comments section has diminished, with a small but outspoken group increasingly resorting to name-calling and worse."
pussies. It wasn’t a small group. It was a hugely growing group of people sick of their lies and BS
Most “news” sites, the comment section is the only thing worth visiting.
If you want hits, removing the comment section is the last thing you want to do
Yahoo has essentially done the same. Despite the heavy left wing bias and slant of these sites, the comments by intelligent readers would decimate the faulty arguments and factual inaccuracies. It got so bad on pro Hillary Yahoo that Yahoo essentially dismantled its comment section five days before the election.
BI is a Liberal rag.
They banned me long time ago.....LOL.
Truth can’t be said....it makes people “think” too much.
Censorship is the key to totalitarianism (One Mind group-think). That is why Marxist PC and Hate Speech were instituted (both unconstitutional)-—so that they can control “ideas” (the Mind of the Masses).
He who controls the Words can control minds easily.....and the Leftists used to have total control of MSM before the internet FOILED their plans of total takeover (and we JUST MISSED being COMPLETELY wiped off the face of the earth). With Trump we have a chance, at least. We will see.
They were pro Hillary down to the kneepads, the commenters often ridiculed and dismissed their writers for being so in the tank for her and blatantly anti-Trump. Looks like they needed a safe space from the public they supposedly are informing. I never thought I would see this type of blatant propaganda and censorship in my lifetime.
They are blacklisting conservative websites. We can do the same. Make sure to remember never to visit their website under any circumstances.
They are attempting censorship and turning into Pravda. Seek alternate sites such as Gab.ai and info galactic for wikipedia, and use the Brave browser. DuckDuckGo for Google. And so on.
Is that what they call “denial of service”?
Free speech! Free speech!
(Fast-talking radio guy disclaimer) “FreespeechnotvalidforRepublicansorconservatives”
I got a kick out of reading yahoo comments on their pro Hillary articles, almost every comment was anti Hillary or pro Trump. Then I really new Hillary was finished, she had almost no public support even on leftist news sites.
More than half the reason why I’ll click on a story is to read the comments. This will last until they notice the loss of clicks.
No one wants to read propaganda w/o due commenting.
BI blows. Always has.
I clicked a few links to their articles a while ago. It didn’t take very long to realize what kind of outfit Business Insider is. Haven’t been back and won’t click on any links to their site again. If a site does not allow comments, you know it’s a leftist propaganda mill and nothing more.
Funny, I go right to the comments to find out the real story. Sounds more like internet giants censoring the truth.
We should start linking archived versions of stories on FR, whenever they’re from these kinds of outlets using archive.is imo.
There’s seriously no point in giving these places hits...
I have a mental list of sites that don’t allow comments: I never click on those sites.
Seems to me a time to boycot Amazon.
