NY Times Fears Trump Will Ruin ‘Culture’ of Washington
Newsbusters ^ | November 15, 2016 | Kyle Drennen |

In an article for Sunday’s New York Times that bordered on parody, reporter Jason Horowitz touted concerns from Washington D.C. liberals that the incoming Trump administration would sap the nation’s capital of its culture: “What the effect on Washington will be when Donald J. Trump moves into the White House is hard to predict. But many Washingtonians fear the worst.”

No surprise, the leading critic was former Democratic D.C. mayor Vincent Gray, who warned: “I’m worried about people not wanting to come here because of the image they have of the Trump administration.” Horowitz added: “Mr. Gray said he worried that a Trump administration could set the city back because the federal government still controls its purse strings and could enact abortion restrictions, cut vital investment and relax gun control laws.”

“could enact abortion restrictions...”

Yep, the Cult-ure of Death is worried they may be inconvenienced by having to travel a bit in order to kill their own babies still in the womb. The epitome of selfishness.

He then reassured readers that “Liberal and environmental groups are determined to stay and fight,” noting that, “Debbie Sease, who heads lobbying for the Sierra Club...expects an invigorated resistance to come to Washington, bringing moral outrage as well as sophisticated palates.”

Ms. Sease has no idea what a caricature of an elite, pampered, privileged Leftist she has revealed herself to be.

NY Times fears their playhouse (and future bail outs) will be trashed. I’m overjoyed.

Under Obama, D.C. and its suburbs have become the highest-income areas in the entire country. (Why are we not surprised.)

Some of the D.C. economy will take a little hit. The money flow from well-paid elite federal "workers" and lobbyists may diminish, but won't stop.

A Reagan biographer wrote that the D.C. social set never accepted Nancy and Ronald Reagan, and they were effectively isolated in the White House. (No wonder they returned to the Western White House so often.)

President Reagan didn't give a fig about Washington's social rejection, but it did hurt Nancy's feelings.

Speaking of culture in Washington... how about if Trump goes after prostitution and other vices. He could say, " you're in Washington to WORK! If you want to play, do it somewhere else."

I am tired of our public servants effing off on our dollar.

That's the sort of culture you get in a petri dish when the pathogen has been in the incubator too long. I really don't mind hedonism, but I do mind it being on my dime. And in any case, it isn't as if any haute cuisine left in town. I hear the restaurant in the Trump Hotel is pretty good...

These exaggerations just keep getting crazier by the day!

The liberals are over the top insane, what the heck is wrong with them?! I can’t stand to read another shriek, cry, screech, exaggeration propaganda piece!

Running their party on gross negligent fear mongering and that is a disservice to their members, let alone the country.
