Can someone tell me....

OK, we are obviously a technologically advanced country which is why we use electronic voting machines. The problem is they are compromised and subject to voter fraud which we see in every election cycle.

Why don't we use the election ink on the index finger? This would all but eliminate any voter fraud with poll watchers present.

I don't get it....

You answered your own question - “This would all but eliminate any voter fraud with poll watchers present.” The rats would never allow it. Without the fraud they lose.

I suggested the same thing about a month ago. The purple finger with a nice dark dye that cannot be washed off for days would be VERY helpful. Especially for those bus loads of people the dems drive from poll to poll.

It’s like it’s too easy. Not sophisticated enough.

Because the Dems would invent some super duper cleaner to take the ink off.

Having answered your own question, here are a few additional comments. First, the demodummies couldn’t cheat. Without voting machines, we would have to cut more trees which we all know I against liberals “save the planet” agenda. Then, there is the issue of absentee voting which IMO needs to be completely eliminated. Geeeeesh, I could go on and on but, since you have already answered your own question, I will step aside and allow someone to add a few more generalities to the reason.

No. It is deliberate. Democrats have been adamantly opposed to any measure to prevent voter fraud for decades. Similarly, they have enthusiastically supported every measure to make voter fraud easier.

For decades.

Easy to understand why we do not do the obvious to protect our vote. Democrats have promoted systems, like early voting, as a means of destroying the integrity of the election process.

Ink on thumb is only good to stop multiple voting. It does nothing for compromised electronic voting machines.

Sadly, you answered your question. It's because it would practically eliminate voter fraud.

There is a big difference between the US and third-world countries that use the indelible ink (invented in India, by the way): the US population is much more mobile.

It's not an issue for me now, but for most of my career I wouldn't be able to vote on election day because I was usually at a client's office that day, a thousand miles or more away from home. With early voting, I could do it on the weekend. But in my state, it's only open on a weekend day about 10 days before Election state.

There are technological ways that we could eliminate fraud and provide a trail for the voter to verify his vote was counted, and correctly. And, it could be done in a way to prevent voter intimidation (i.e. you must vote this way to keep your job).

But, I'll wait until things calm down for a bit before I write up my proposal. I'd be interested in what FReepers think.

It should be used at least in hotly contested states, but it won't come near to eliminating fraud. It may prevent:
