All Aboard: Ted Cruz Officially Joins the Trump Train
Townhall.com ^ | November 3, 2016 | Justin Holcomb

Posted on 11/03/2016 6:11:37 PM PDT by Kaslin

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has officially joined the Donald Trump campaign and has already hit the trail with Gov. Mike Pence in Iowa and Michigan.

After a heated primary season for the Republican Party, Trump and Cruz came out of the Republican National Convention with a less-than-friendly relationship.

"Sen. Cruz will join Gov. Pence in Iowa and Michigan today," Pence's press secretary Marc Lotter told USA TODAY. "Having Sen Cruz join the governor today underscores what he has been saying for the past few weeks and we are seeing happen across the country - it is time for Republicans to come home."

Sarah Palin had it right when she did not support Cruz!

The ONLY reason this weasel is jumping on is because he KNOWS that Trump is going to win and he wants to preserve his political life.

Good for you! Unlike the democrats, it feels good to clean out our own party.

Five days before the end of this campaign, Ted Cruz danes to grace us with his presence.

Too little, too late.

His fate is sealed. It’s beyond any of our control now.

The original was a classic. The this knock-off was just a knock-off - an ill-fitting one at that..

She did support Cruz. In the SEnate.

But the fine folks here want only to burn bridges.

Be careful what you wish for.

It pains me also to watch so called ‘conservatives’ attack one of the few who stood up on principal.
I learned a lot about our party this election cycle, and not all of it is positive.
We used to be better people.

Well, I’m glad he’s decided to get on the team. But his past performance doesn’t encourage me to think that he’s in this for anything but himself. I just don’t trust the guy.

Here is what he said earlier: “I’m here campaigning for Donald Trump, for Mike Pence.”

I’m no supporter of Sen. Cruz. Feel free to look at my posting history should you doubt this. However, I might suggest that we have a helluva lot bigger problem on our hands right now. I’m thankful for his help.

Eyes on the prize.

Couldn’t agree more.

I’m tired of the weak links in our party.

That’s what this is all about, and folks chose what they wanted to represent themselves as this year.

Don’t blame us now.

Aww, you didn’t like it.

I’m crushed.

Plenty of folks did.

Thank you. I do too.

I wish the Trump Train didn’t sometimes stink so much. It’s the only way out of this mess so you take what you have to, but it still stinks.

Thanks for not stinking. Patriots need to stick together, and revisiting all the back-stab wounds is not helping. Mordor laughss.

Ted has been spitting on Trump’s name all year.

What have you been sparky?

I didn’t see you calling him on it.

Now five days before the election, and still refusing to say Trump’s name at the first event today, you think he’s back.

Yep, he’s way way back in the pack.

Don’t need him. Tell him to get the —— on home.

We need sinners. Winners win.

There is something about this fellow. He may be smart, but, there is something, there.

The fact that Palin did support Cruz for the senate and switched to Trump says it all. She learned her lesson. Be careful!

I can’t get over the fact this is nothing more than Ted trying to rehab his image.

He had all year to figure this out, and now five days before the end of the campaign, when his voice will reach the very fewest people possible, here he is.

Man what a consummate loser.

Yes.

I’ve learned that I hate politics and trust hardly anybody.

God help us! He’s the only One who can. But we need to listen to Him, who calls “party spirit” a sin.
