Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has officially joined the Donald Trump campaign and has already hit the trail with Gov. Mike Pence in Iowa and Michigan.
After a heated primary season for the Republican Party, Trump and Cruz came out of the Republican National Convention with a less-than-friendly relationship.
"Sen. Cruz will join Gov. Pence in Iowa and Michigan today," Pence's press secretary Marc Lotter told USA TODAY. "Having Sen Cruz join the governor today underscores what he has been saying for the past few weeks and we are seeing happen across the country - it is time for Republicans to come home."
I’ll believe it when I hear Turd Cruz say “I support Donald Trump”.
what leadership
Ill believe it when I hear Turd Cruz say I support Donald Trump.

Yep, need that also.
He is finally on board, but I will vote against him in the primary when he runs.
He blew his audition for SCOTUS, maybe Sen. Majority Leader if Mitch gets Squishy, this could be part of this audition given Pence will preside over the Senate but that is a long shot for Cruz imho...
We’re barely in November and the GOPe is pulling out their wish list for Christmas.
Wow. Lou Dobbs took him apart tonight over that. Lou Dobbs is extremely forthcoming in his opinions!!
Ditto.
Good to have Cruz on board...
Maybe it’s because Cruz wasn’t a player on the Lolita Express, so now he feels he has to back Trump in order to prove it.
I certainly welcome him aboard the “Trump train”!!
Gosh, I guess he finally figured out which side his bread is buttered on...
Cruz only did it because he fan see Trump is going to win. I have no respect for him.
The one man who stood firmly against the confirmation of Loretta Lynch.
Ben Sasse of Nebraska talked a good talk about being against DC corruption but once he got there he did what they all do. Except Ted Cruz. Within his first year in the Senate he had the guts to do what nobody else did - take on the R leadership itself.
I am glad that Trump is the nominee; he fights, and we need that. I don’t think Cruz would have been able to fight the same way as Trump is. For instance, the same kind of rumors as are held up against Trump now were held up against Cruz during the primary but people who recognize them as a dirty trick against Trump now would not do the same for Cruz - which is probably the biggest reason that Cruz is hesitant to support Trump.
The more I hear the crap against Cruz here the harder it is for me to bury the hatchet, ignore the doo-doo among our own ranks, and just beat the witch - which we desperately need to do.
Sarah Palin had it right when she said why she supported Trump. She said we need Trump in the White HOuse and we need Cruz in the Senate. Both are fighters. The circular firing squad stinks to high heaven. Ugly. Ugly. Ugly.
*Yawn^
Exactly right.
