However, the doctors gave him an experimental drug that had shown some promise: fluoxetine - that is the active ingredient of Prozac!

Reminds me of how Trump said he wants to make experimental drugs more readily available for those who have no chance without them - can't do more harm than "gonna die no matter what medical science does"....

True. I remember the Trump rally where the young boy was speaking for the sake of his father.
Good point.

Michael Savage discussed EV-68 as the new polio linked to that illegal alien surge - and their lack of treatment and ready distribution through the US.

The young son of a former colleague was afflicted by this terrible disease. Had to be treated with respirator for almost two weeks. However, the doctors gave him an experimental drug that had shown some promise: fluoxetine - that is the active ingredient of Prozac!

Yes, Fluoxetine is the generic version of Prozac (I've taken it before). I've seen TV ads for medications that are used for more than one ailment (Humira comes to mind). Strange that an SSRI like Prozac would have another use other than depression/anxiety.

8 Washington children admitted to Seattle Children’s with acute neurologic illnesses

How It Spreads:
You can catch this virus the same way you would catch the common cold: by having close contact with someone who’s infected — especially if that person coughs or sneezes on you — or by touching a contaminated surface.

I’m adding this as it is virus spread. Flu like symptoms in pregnant mom. I know this disease first hand as my second born was born with it, I got the flu like virus from his father who had just returned from Nam a third world country. Where this virus seems to originate.

Polio is fecal - oral. The common cold is mouth - nose and via aerosols.

"...I've seen TV ads for medications that are used for more than one ailment ..."

I was prescribed a drug to prevent the recurrence of skin cancer. A homo informed me later that the same drug is given to homos to treat fag-induced anal warts, so now I am embarrassed when I go to the pharmacy.

Yet another “blessing” of open borders

These blessings include The resurgence of Whooping Cough, Polio, Small Pox, Bed Bugs and all kinds of parasites that are not indigenous to North America. Gee, thanks Obama

Oral means coughs, sneezes into the air and onto items. People don’t realize how many germs/virus are on those mags in a doctors office or they’d never pick one up.
So many plaques through history were carried by humans who thought they just ate bad food. Came to the US via steerage where they were lice infected, rat bit, etc. Look at the recent Norwalk out breaks or Legionaries.

Typhoid in New York City (1907)You’ve probably heard of Mary Mallon, better known as “Typhoid Mary.” She was an Irish-born cook who carried the bacteria that causes typhoid fever, a form of salmonella that can cause fever, diarrhea and death. But Mallon herself was immune to the disease. When authorities figured out that her work as a cook had caused the city’s typhoid outbreak, she was sent to North Brother Island for a three-year quarantine. She promised never to cook for others again. But she broke her word. (She was especially fond of making peach ice cream.) When apprehended in 1915, she was sent back to the island for the rest of her life — 23 more years.
