I respect your opinion, but IMHO Stephanopolus has never been good, but I agree he is most definitely an operative. Do you, or anyone who is being honest with themselves, think he would ever interview and push Hillary or Bill on the issues, or their scandals? His father was a Greek Orthodox theologian, and it just makes me think ‘how could he work for these people (the Clintons), and carry their water?’.

I’m not being contrary but after the election of Obama that definition is meaningless. You may even, probably are technically right but because the law is somewhat vague, confusing and obscure and in need of clarification I seriously doubt that Ivanka, Eric or Don Jr would be challenged as candidates Constitutionally. Certainly no democrat would dare challenge it. You can make an argument, a good argument I think that this law needs to be stated simply, clearly and unambiguously. It isn’t and that is part of the problem. When Ted Cruz, born in Canada to a US citizen mother and Cuban father can make a valid legal claim to being a natural born citizen then there is a problem.
The broader issue is that the concept is there to ensure that those elected as president have no allegiance to a foreign state. I think that Eric and Donald Trump Jr meet that requirement. As far as I know there is no issue of dual citizenship neither Eric or Don Jr have claim or are claimed as citizens by Hungry or Romania or where ever it is that Ivanna Trump was from.
One of the reason I originally supported Cruz was to sort of rub the democrats face in the law and say “Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.” Cruz blew that opportunity when he gave snarky, condescending replies to that question.
Once again, I have little doubt that you are technically right or would have been at one time. But due primarily to democratic malfeasance the law has become muddied, unclear and needs to be rewritten to be clearer.
