For the record:
The show, hosted by Emily Blunt with musical guest Bruno Mars, was the highest household rating for a third telecast of the season since 2008, drawing a 5.0 rating in live-plus-same-day metered market households and a 2.3 rating in adults 18-49 in the markets with local people meters. The previous week three record was held by the Sept. 27, 2008 episode hosted by Anna Faris with musical guest Duffy, which nabbed a 6.0 rating.

Saturday Night Live’s ratings have dipped each week since its Oct. 1 premiere hosted by Margot Robbie. It’s season 42 opener scored a 5.8 household rating and a 2.7 in the key demo. Last week, the show drew a 5.2 household rating and a 2.4 in the key demo. Still, the sketch series is performing better than last fall’s average as this week’s show was up almost 20 percent compared to SNL’s Oct. 2015 average.

Maybe in the work place yes

But in youth culture women today seem to compete with men for promiscuity

Thankfully folks don’t see to be buying in.

The more they seem to be unfair, the more resolved Trump supporters seem to be.

LOVE IT!

Saw this story last night at the top of Daily Mail and came to the realization that nobody writes tawdry low-rent gossip rags quite like the british.

Sarah Palin was ravaged by SNL more than anyone I can remember.

In her defense. Rove has said some truthful and helpful things lately and he lost the white board. He is just so discredited for his past performance and failed projections.

It's not exactly true that SNL (or late night talk shows, etc.) only skewer one side.

Did you sleep through the Obama years?

They gave that guy a free pass.

Only Obama was untouchable.

I missed that part. But a guy who was president for going on eight years being untouchable makes it hard to give the show any credit for being less than completely biased.

For every one thing he says that could possibly be helpful, he negates it by instantly going back into bashing Trump mode, while praising Paul Ryan at every chance. Rove is persona non grata in my book.

SNL and all the rest of entertainment media has never favored the republican candidate in my memory. Expect a barrage of anti-Trump push. Hope America is waking.

Of course it’s biased. I never posted anything to the contrary. My point was to address the subtlety these shows use as cover. They mock those aspects of Dems’ flaws that are roguish or forgivable, while labeling those on the right as uncool, stupid, bigoted, or all three.

I disagree. Reference Darrell Hammond’s Bill Clinton—hilariously sleazy.
SNL has ridiculed Hillary and Anthony Weiner a lot lately.

Trump needs to stop hollering for censorship of whatever he doesn’t like.
This is way beyond tiresome, even if these comments are only 5 seconds of any speech. He should know by now the 5 seconds will be top of the news. So just don’t give that ammo to the enemy. It wouldn’t kill Trump to just bite his tongue and not go there.

I want our candidate to win. We win by speaking to the lives and concerns of Americans, by engaging more voters and asking for their votes.
Not by engaging in petty pissing matches with a-hole comedians, and scaring voters away by suggesting that as POTUS Trump will—or should— amass an enemies list and concentrate on punishing his critics, most of whom are inconsequential celebrities whose opinions nobody cares about anyway.

Last I checked, 1A means Americans—not just comedians— are allowed to be a-holes; WE are allowed to say obnoxious things about candidates and even the President—as we often do here on FR. It’s still legal to do that.
And I will fight to keep it that way.

Go ahead, call me a “concern troll.” But the race is neck-and-neck, and the hour grows late.

***This is sinister stuff being forcefully beamed into our frontrooms***

I knew the flavor of this story when I saw the name Alec Baldwin... Anyone remember Baldwin on NBC one night calling for the murder of the Republican Speaker of the House?! one of the longest threads on FR to that date - and picked up by FNC. What human being could call for the murder of Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid and survive federal prison? Instead, Hollywood has worked tirelessly and shamelessly to rehabilitate Alec Baldwin since then... unhappily successfully. I would rather watch my own double amputation that one minute of Alec Baldwin!

Trump hosted on SNL back in Nov 2015. He wasn’t offended then, but is now?

Knowing what they did to Palin and he went ahead and went on SNL?

Yes but Trump hosted SNL last November; he knew what they did to Palin with Russia statement. He wasn’t offended last November by anything by SNL, but now he is?

Sorry he needs to pick his battles. I watched the debates and watched smug Hillary set the bait; he went on and on and went off message. He ate up his time by being on offense instead of putting her on defense.

Yes, Trump did go on SNL and that skit worked out well. I watched it and he and the writers did a good job. I believe Trump had editorial rights. Obviously he wasn't going to say anything that made him look foolish. FYI, I very seldom watch SNL, maybe 10 times in my life time. Why, because I don't think they are particular funny.

But, now one year later the a$$holes have the knives out. Alex Baldwin, an uber leftwing jerk is playing Trump? Give me a break.
