VLADIMIR Putin has reportedly told officials to fly relatives living abroad back to Russia – as relations with the West deteriorate.

Russian politicians and officials with children studying in the West have been told to bring them home to the “Fatherland”, local media is reporting.

They have also been told to recall any older relatives – such as parents – living in foreign countries, sources claim.

The worrying development – which comes after Putin suddenly cancelled a visit to France – applies to ALL state employees.

Workers were reportedly told to pull their children out of school immediately, even if it was in the middle of term.

I thought Russia was “Mother” Russia and Germany was the fatherland.

The Democrats are resorting to brinkmanship with Russia in order blame Russia for hacked emails to deflect from their growing email scandals.

It's even on the nuclear weapons level with both USA and Russia.

Perhaps some of the revelations in Hillary's emails are explosive enough to ignite war because a lot of countries are suddenly making some pretty ominous preparations during the final days of the Obama Administration.

Having the same thought. Russia seems to be taking extreme measures. Why? I suspect that emails may come out that really damage our relationship with them.

Ever read a book called: "The Third World War: August 1985" by J. Hackett?

Obviously takes place 30 years ago, but I don't think the Russian mind-set is much different today (Russia weaker and NATO weaker - how much is anybody's guess).

Interesting timing.

We witness expanding price collapse in a number of commodity market items.

Oil, wheat, corn, cattle?

Farm failures and liquidation sales are becoming very common.

Will there be spill over? It is very possible.

Global Financial collapse? Who knows, anything is possible with Obozo.

Don’t understand German or Russian but Spaniards always refer to “Mother Spain” while speaking of the “patria” which is usually translated motherland. Thing is that patria is based on the Latin root pater which means father so it seems patria should best be translated fatherland.

Russian response to article you posted.

“British tabloids go into WWIII frenzy over reported pull-out of Russian officials’ relatives”

https://www.rt.com/news/362511-russian-officials-tabloids-war/

“When asked about the report, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said it was the first time he had heard about the alleged pull-out of officials’ family members.”

I thinks they have nutty journalists in England like they do in the US. Or that the source behind it is Infowars or some other crap.

The NeoCon nutjobs are salivating in anticipation of a long, drawn out, meaningless war with the Ruskies. I wonder if the rules of engagement will be as self-defeating as in the ME.

Having the same thought. Russia seems to be taking extreme measures. Why?

Here's my thought: what we are the seeing is the opening stages of a global conflict to determine who will rule the 21st century. Russia has made a calculation that it will not be the United States.

They see the weakness of our leaders and they are taking advantage. Russia, seeing the anti-Russian nature of US and EU foreign policy since the 90's with expanded NATO membership and the strategic imbalance caused by ABM, have come to the conclusion that they must do something to check western influence in the world.

The word on the street is that Putin became quite paranoid after the Arab Spring and Ukraine. What he sees is the Obama policy of overthrowing governments through the use of weaponized NGO's (Soros in Ukraine and the Twitter/Facebook revolution dubbed the Arab Spring). The final straw for him was in fact Ukraine and Syria. That was his red line. We are seeing the repercussions of the Russian response.

Putin has activated a hybrid warfare approach to checking western aggression. Crimea, Eastern Ukraine, Syria, along with using cyber, propaganda, psych warfare on other nations in Eastern Europe (including NATO members) to ensure that Obama (or Hillary) doesn't get any ideas. God knows if Hillary got in she'll do everything she can to do to Putin what she did to Qaddafi.

Then there's the nuclear dimension. This could all just be nuclear saber rattling. Pulling people back, having massive drills in Russia seems to be designed for two things. To put the Russian people on a war footing for domestic purposes and to convince western powers that Russia is on a war footing in order to get concessions. After all, their calculation is that we are weak and will fold.

I am not so sure...

http://nypost.com/2016/10/12/putin-could-be-readying-for-war-calls-russians-back-to-motherland/

Coupled with Russian defense exercise which involved 40 million citizens and their reported movement of nuclear weapons closer to the Polish border...

Iran? That is another issue.

Agree. When you read the article it says that they want their people back to help with the country and not to have a brain drain.
