Let me tell you something, Huckabee said. Heres a little secret Megyn, a lot of these bed-wetting, hand wringing Republicans, theyre not afraid Donald Trump is going to lose. Theyre scared to death hes going to win. And if he wins he is going to mess up the neat little package of fun they have because they all play to the donor class and Donald Trump is coming to make big changes in the way that these institutions go.

I think it was Dennis Prager who said this, that they are more afraid of losing control of the base than losing yet another election to the Democrats.
The “dollars = votes” equation only works when the electorate doesn’t have any overriding motivation.
The Powers That Be either don’t understand that, or think they can successfully divide “the motivation” with a sustained campaign of demagoguery against Trump.
Pray they are wrong.
They are more afraid of JAIL than they are of losing the election.
I laughed out loud when during the first debate, Huckabee said “I have dealt with the Clinton machine for years, and I am the only one who lived to tell about it” !!!
BTTT!
“Donald J. Trump;@realDonaldTrump · 50m50 minutes ago
It is so nice that the shackles have been taken off me and I can now fight for America the way I want to.”
Trump has to fight the GOPe, along with the Dem establishment, to be a viable candidate.
One for change.
If he’s ‘just’ another GOP candidate then he loses.
we (Tea Party) gave them power and huge majorities in the ‘10 and ‘14 midterms and they responded by turning around and spitting in our face- and they got away with it...
they realize they will no longer get away with it if Trump wins...
You call some of those wishy-washy, hand-wringing, fingers-crossed-behind-the-back comments ENDORSEMENTS? Heck, some of the leading low-lifes of the GOPe were hyperventilating during their Trump "endorsement" speeches.
Trump should be out there on the stump to the average voter making sure that they know what kind of politician has been putting an "(R)" after his or her name. If Ryan wants to distance himself from the Presidential race in hopes of keeping his phony-baloney job as a Congress-critter, he'd better be prepared to deal with the fall out when Mr. Trump is sworn into office by Chief Justice Roberts in 3 months.
Perhaps I give them too much credit for playing a "deep" game, but this is what I see:
They endorsed Trump because they "had to". It just looks odd if they don't.
But they had a plan.
They started working on things (like the Billy Bush tape) that would make Trump look bad.
The bad stuff comes out -- and they PULL their endorsement.
Well, that looks even worse than not endorsing him in the first place. That (they think) really hurts Trump.
For them, this is a brilliant strategy to help the political establishment maintain the status quo.
Senator Hornblower's kid gets a job as a lobbyist. His kid marries the girl of his dreams. She either is working for a media organ or is working for a contractor trying to sell wares to DOD.
They are all part of the incestuous kabal, and they don't want the gravy train to end.
Tell me where my theoretical "example" above is wrong?
Trump is a threat to this madness. They might have to all go for retraining and get a real job as a welder or a rough neck during the Fracking Revolution that DJT would Unleash tangent to his efforts too downsize DC....
You know, the far left might have been on to something with insisting that the Presidential campaign be completely publicly financed. No PAC money, no outside contributions and we win this thing going away . . .
We keep looking at this as our side would have the advantage but with so much of the billionaires being left wing freaks we might well be better off without ANY outside money. After all, our ideas are better!
The Honorable Judge Jeanine Pirro comes to mind.
I don’t think his AG needs to be a Non-Republican, but if he chooses a Republican, it can’t be any former or current congressman or senator. Rudy would be a good choice.
Exactly!!
Huckabee is one of the good guys on Fox News.
They will be exposed for the criminals they are and their political careers and life of luxury will be over. They detestable human beings who are unfit for public office.
Good for Huckabee. I have not heard from him in awhile. It appears that the Republicans are split into two factions. The Bush/Romney group of globalists and what I will now call the Trump group who want the best for America.
The GOP establishment vs Democrats is complete theater...they are both corrupted with Xerxes’ gold....
Remember how the Republican elite hated Sarah Palin? Because when she took office as governor one of her first moves was to clean out corruption in her own party! They feared that they might be next, which is an eye-opener! Not only Rats are corrupt, I guess.
Trump is an unknown to them, and they fear he will disrupt their cushy lives.
Y’all want to know what is hysterical about all of this? For Trump to lose, the RINOKleptocracy needs to support Trump and make him one of their own. Instead, by going against him, they woke up Americans to the corruption in DC and Trump is our hero.
Trump could have been destroyed easily by the likes of the RINO class endorsing him. Trump is getting more mileage out of their hatred for him.
Best. Election. Ever.
