Over the weekend, several major American newspapers printed a variation of the same article pointing out instances, in their view, when Donald Trump has lied to the American people during the 2016 presidential campaign. The New York Times started the chain reaction on Saturday: “A Week of Whoppers” Then, the LA Times, Washington Post and Politico followed suit. As CNN media analyst Brian Stelter points out, the publications claim the timing was a coincidence:

Trump was crushing Clinton in the polls for “Honesty and Trustworthiness” last week. They need to do something quick to bring that down.
The “Trump lie” that he was always against the Iraq war angers them the most, because, Trump appeals to the same voters they do. But, they were against the war, before they for the war, before they were against the war, before they lost the war.
I noticed that too. Suddenly it was everywhere.
They had marching orders and followed them. Whether a vast left/media conspiracy or simply laziness to follow the herd, the do this over and over again. While they won’t admit, I’m sure there is a current version of journolist out there just like there was in 2008.

I read a Trump speech on his website that I had missed live. It looked like a college term paper with nearly every sentence footnoted with documentation and back up for every comment presented. Many of the sources were quotes from mainstream media news reports and publications. It was very impressive and obvious Team Trump is diligent in their fact checking. I am certain that this tactic is a directive from the Clinton campaign.
I am stuck in the ATL airport and all they have on is CNN. Jake Tapper was just discussing with Mook how many lies Trump will tell, and says that HRC won’t have enough time to fact check the lies and get her message out. So they really want Holt to do it for her. I say that’s crap. I need earplugs so I can ignore this **** that I refuse to listen to in my own home.
It is not a lie about Trump and the war.
The invasion began in March of 2003.
Trump was asked way BEFORE on September 11, 2002 if he supported invading Iraq. He could only must an “I guess so.”
If I ask my wife, “Do you want me to paint the kitchen dark green?” and she answers “I guess so.”, then I know that she’s still in thinking mode and I’d be stupid to go buy dark green paint.
Trump had 6 MONTHS to solidify his position on Iraq, and he came down against an invasion. Shortly after the invasion, he clearly was opposed.
But, you ask just about anyone on the FIRST ANNIVERSARY of 9/11, what they think about an invasion of Iraq, and they’d have given a resounding yes. Not a “guess so”.
Michael Savage is right now calling out the ABC NY management that just preempted his today’s show, because they knew he would be discussing the debate tonight and want no criticism of Hillary before the debate.
They are having some Hillary talking heads replacing Savage today.
