Is that the one in which the individual was REALLY unarmed?
I’m in Tulsa area, and this entire event is being handled professionally so far. Yes, there are some dbags but no craziness like other places.
That’s punishable with A 4 year max in Oklahoma.
This may be a warranted charge. Wait and see. This is different from other cop on black shootings. The evidence produced thus far, or not (emphasis added), is anything but dispositive on the issue of whether or not the shooting was justified.
Just saying.
GIRL POWER!
I feel for the officer but I knew she made a huge mistake!
No gun, she had plenty assistance at hand and overhead. Why did she shoot?
Call me old fashioned but I think if you are convicted of a felony you should not be allowed to carry a badge and a gun and be a cop ever again. (you can have a gun for self defense AFTER a period of time but never again should you be trusted to enforce the law.)
This is standard operating procedure; charge her to quiet the malcontents, then watch a jury acquit her. I believe if they convict her then she WAS guilty.
She shot because women have fewer muscles than men and thus women are more fearful.
BTW, she can always go for a bench trial (no jury), though in this case a jury may be preferable.
Hey...watch it! Haven’t you seen the movies and tv? All women have more muscles than men and are tougher. Get with the times!
I'm in Tulsa and have been following this one. He was a bad dude on PCP, kept reaching into his pocket despite orders not to, and got killed.
She seems to have panicked and shot when the taser went off. So sad.
A serious criminal history for the dead guy would, unless the *cop's* background is *also* dirty, probably cause me to to vote not guilty. And that goes double if his toxicology report shows a serious problem.
This one is different, since we can’t see him going towards the police. However, it looks like he reached into the car window. He’s certainly ignoring the police woman’s command to stop. She probably was in fear for her life. But was she justified in shooting. None of the other three shot. One supposedly used a Taser. It looks like he must have used it about the same time as the policewoman shot the man.
I feel sorry for the woman. She may not have been properly trained or maybe she shouldn’t have been a policewoman in the first place. Hopefully, they don’t let the BLM mob influence her rights to a fair trial.
At least they don’t seem to be overcharging with a murder charge.
And have no legitimate role in law enforcement other than clerical
Yeah, but she had 2 or 3 man backup.
