CNN has been heavily criticized over several incidents where the network selectively edited content, to include a glaring example just this weekend regarding a statement from Hillary Clinton in response to an explosion that rocked a Manhattan neighborhood Saturday, but that did not stop Jake Tapper from going to the well one more time.
The “State of the Union” host was interviewing New Jersey Governor Chris Christie on Sunday when he referenced “a contrast” between Clinton and rival Donald Trump in commenting on the explosion in New York, noting that Trump said it was a bomb within minutes, while Clinton waited until hours later before commenting.
Tapper then played a clip of Clinton saying, “I think it’s important to know the facts about any incident like this. I think it’s always wiser to wait until you have information before making conclusions.”
A preceding comment from the Democratic nominee calling the explosion a “bombing” was edited out… even as Trump was being called into question for using the term “bomb.”

Good. Their attempt to make this an issue was RIDICULOUS. Absurd. Even the “timing” argument is stupid.
If FOX goes left I am out of there. Might as well get rid of the DVR too.

As more and more come to see CNN for what it is, Fox may be thinking it’s an opportunity for them to capture viewers.
After all, their premium news babe was attacked by Trump. Trump boycotted their GOP debate. Etc...
Their new slant may be an attempt to seem left sympathetic and not so much right leaning.
There is a line, even for journalism, where you do open yourself up to LEGAL ACTION.
If CNN had simply edited out Hillary saying it was a bombing and NOT highlighted how Trump and Hillary reacted ‘differently’ (i.e., just showed Trump calling it a bomb and Hillary saying that we need to wait), that would be unethical, but not actionable in my book, as there’s only so much that can be shown in a clip.
But that NOT what CNN did. They literally CHANGED THE HISTORY of the reactions for the purpose of setting up an attack line on Trump. This has LAWSUIT written all over it, as far as I can see.
There is no difference between FOX and CNN when it comes to attacking Trump.
