According to tax returns filed by the Clinton Foundation, only 5.7% of the funds raised actually went to charitable organizations. The rest went to salaries and benefits for employees and "other expenses."
A well run charity spends only about 25% on administrative costs.
Daily Caller:
The Clinton Foundation spent a hair under $91.3 million in 2014, the organizations IRS filings show. But less than $5.2 million of that went to charitable grants.
That number pales in comparison to the $34.8 million the foundation spent on salaries, compensation and employee benefits.
Another $50.4 million was marked as other expenses, while the remaining almost $851K was marked as professional fundraising expenses.

And how much of that 5.7% was eaten up as “overhead” by the organizations it went to?
They paid $35 million in salaries to distribute $5 million in aid. It seems to me that those numbers should and could easily by reversed.
The Clinton Slush Fund is not a scam. It just has a unique business model.
Seriously. That is the only explanation that Hillary supporters can come up with.
Hillary, please send me a donation. I am a “basket case” and need money. Please.
I only give to charities that have expense ratios lower than 5%, meaning 95% goes to do the actual work.
The Clinton Crime Foundation has that flipped.
“A well run charity spends only about 25% on administrative costs.”
Clinton Foundation spent 94.3% on administration.
You know, because it’s really administered well! /s
Charity Navigator is a great site that reviews charities. They give the Clinton Crime Family a terrible rating.
It IS a charitable organization. The Clinton Foundation gives millions to charity, to the Clintons charity, and they thank their donors in all sorts of ways.
I don’t defend the Clinton Foundation, but they do have a defense. It is that they are different from most charitable foundations. Most raise money and then pass it on to other groups that actually do the actual charitable work. The collecting foundation makes grants to other organizations. Only 5.7% of Clinton Foundation money is spent that way. But they claim that most of their money goes to direct charitable work that the foundation perform themselves directly. So it’s (allegedly) an apples to oranges comparison to judge the Clinton Foundation relative to other foundations.
However, I haven’t seen any detailed account of the foundation’s in-house good works.
Think how insanely low that number is....For every million they take in they keep $943,000 for themselves. WHY AREN’T THEY IN JAIL??? I defy anyone to stay out of jail by starting a charity and doing the same thing, it just ain’t going to happen.
By the way, WHY isn’t Trump exploiting THIS story below???

Or audited. And Chelsea paid what for her flat in NY ?
I am one of those who has received help from The Clinton Foundation.
Thanks to them, my dream of being a window washer guy at the intersection has come true!
I have several of Bill Clinton’s soiled underwear that I was able to purchase from the Democrat thrift store for a small donation to the Democrat Party. Hillary sends Bill’s soiled underpants there and claims a $100,000 tax write off as a business expense.
Bill’s undershorts are great for wiping squeegee squeezings off of windows.
You have to remember to hold them at the sides, though.
That was not a "flat" which was purchased. It was a medical facility dedicated to caring for those in need - the elderly, women, etc!
Hey Comey,
You suck buddy, you suck.
And your freaking agency is garbage.
You would do the poor more good if you just drove through their neighborhoods and threw your money out the car window than to give it to the Clinton Foundation.
