You have your work cut out for you but many times, these people cannot be convinced.

Dims will probably take Pennsylvania, Illinois and New Hampshire.

National media have been obsessing over Kirk. Truth be told, he won that seat in an offyear election with a decidedly Republican tilt.

He was ALWAYS going to have trouble holding that seat. Does not matter who would have been on the ticket.

Surrender is an overstatement. But ‘Rats are re-thinking their investment in this race. Rob Portman did a good job of preparing.

She is writing in Cruz. She still believes somehow that Cruz is going to pull this out. She is my boss, so I have to tread lightly, but I just want to laugh in her face. I asked her if she liked Pence, and she said yes. So I told her she would be voting for Pence also. She said “Keep trying”. She did the whole fasting thing during the primaries. It was Hell at work!!

Remember a year ago when many of the Cruzers believed Trump was going to drop out and throw his support to Cruz to help Cruz get the nomination?

Could still happen!

Another one hiding behind their “principals” who is supposed to be so religious yet they would be responsible for voting in abortion (supreme court), lies and every other sin with Hillary.

Portman won’t let anyone get to his left.

If Trump wins, let’s hope she does not take it on you and others at work.

To be fair, I haven’t looked at the polls in Illinois, but Kirk is facing a huge uphill battle to hold his seat. Wouldn’t surprise me to see the RNC pull support in the coming weeks; in fact, you can make the case that money going to Kirk might be better spent on candidates like Dr. Joe Heck in Nevada, who has a much better chance of winning.

I'm guessing Portman pulled the same stunt that now EX-State Rep. Ron Sandack pulled here in Illinois.

"Pro-family Conservative" Ron Sandack turned traitor and "evolved" on gay marriage overnight when his vote was needed to pass the bill. Then when the GOP base cried foul and primaried him, he played poor widdle victim and claimed he only disagreed with the base on "one issue" but "purists" just couldn't tolerate any difference of opinion in the GOP. Then, after narrowly winning the primary, he promptly turned full-bore traitor and began giving Madigan "bipartisan" support on all kinds of odious bills, all while playing Mr. Fiscal Responsibility in floor speeches and spouting meaningless platitudes.

In case you can't tell, I'm THRILLED the sleazy two-faced liar is now out of office.

No, I totally agree. I think Kirk's only real chance was to embrace Trump and hope for a tidal wave victory that would sweep him in.

Now he has so alienated the Trump electorate that, even if the tidal wave is large enough for Trump to take Illinois (and that would mean YUGE beyond all reckoning at this point), he still would probably lose.

You are right. The pickup in Nevada is a better bet.

“but I have heard over and over again, that because of Trump the R’s were going to almost certainly lose every house and senate seat...”

It would be nice if Trump would get his poll numbers up to close to even with the senate candidates. He doesn’t have to give the down ballot races a push, but it would be nice if he wasn’t such a drag on the rest of the ticket.

He seems to be polling from 3 - 10 points behind every Republican senate candidate in the same poll. Donald - get your act together.

Strickland is as flawed a candidate for the dems as the dem opposition to Kasich was for Governor. I wish Trump would get some ads on OH TV. Portman fought back against Strickland with ads, and he’s way ahead. Now, if the dems concentrate on going after Trump, it’s going to be a challenge to counter the lies and negativity of the stuff hillary’s polluted the airwaves with.

Kirk is useless. I’m leaving his spot on the ballot blank.

Please don’t leave that section, of the ballot, blank. I’m the campaign manager of Chad Koppie, a write-in U.S. Senate candidate. He’s pro-life, pro-gun rights, anti-illegal alien, pro-fairtax, and pro-spending cuts. Please tell many people that he’s the only conservative candidate, in that race. He needs many people to volunteer and/or donate. His site is www.chadkoppie.com.

2 WI polls out. Monmouth has a big lead for Feingold, but Marquette has Johnson trailing by only 3.
