The USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times "Daybreak" poll tracks about 3,000 eligible voters until election day, asking on a regular basis about their support for Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump or other candidates as well as their likelihood of actually casting a ballot.
We update the data each day based on the weighted average of poll responses over the previous week. That means results have less volatility than some other polls, but also means the poll lags somewhat in responding to major events in the campaign. More about the poll and why it differs from others.
Who would you vote for?
We ask voters what the chance is that they will vote for Trump, Clinton or someone else, using a 0-100 scale. The overall level of support for each candidate reflects the weighted average of those responses.
Hillary Clinton 42.3% Donald Trump 45.1% Area of uncertainty* Based on 2,500 respondents As of Aug. 30, 2016

Since it hasn’t happened yet, nobody knows - it the answer.
Everything is a guess. Polls are propaganda designed to influence how people are thinking and thus the eventual outcome.
Part of the rigged system.
I never hear FOX touting this poll! Just yesterday they were touting that Monmouth University Poll where Hillary was up 7!!!
“Polls are propaganda designed to influence how people are thinking and thus the eventual outcome.”
True for most of them, but Dornsife looks to be different.
I saw that. Lucky to do so since I only watch Fox if my addicted wifey is watching it. My take on Fox: We have Hannity and, to some extent, Bret Baier. That's it. The rest are all in for Hillary.
Of course there could be some early morning show support. Maybe.
Maybe so, but I have trouble knowing which poll might actually be honest and which (for all we are told) could just be fabricated like the global warming “data” was. So I think it’s good to maintain objectivity either way, and not let any “poll data” affect anything we think, do, or say prior to the election.
I think polling is one of tools used to influence voting, and while I hate to say it, I think polling sets the stage for election fraud. Every voter that is discouraged enough to stay home is one less vote that has to be made up for by cheating. Hopefully I am wrong about that.
TTTT!

Absolutely true! The polls that are accurate ( or at least attempt to be) are the private ones run by the campaigns. I guess in some sense we may “deduce” what they are finding out by the reactions of their respective candidates. In Hillary’s case it’s clear to me that she knows she’s in the $hit. She doesn’t act like someone who knows she’s winning. OTOH Trump shows a winning face to us all.
Did they mention that 3 weeks ago she was at 13
DEMOGRAPHICS (weighted)
26% Republican
39% Independent
35% Democrat
47% Male
53% Female
If you don't believe the pollsters purposefully manipulate polls, here are some demographics from Emersons poll.
41.6% were grad school+
Some College 20.3
College 14.4
Total 34.7%
Imagine, grad school+ students out numbering bachelors and associates and even just some college, students.
14.4% were college grads
but 41.6% were grad school +
Thats almost a 3:1 ratio of advanced degrees to regular college.
I think that things are moving inexorably in Trump's direction.
Vote Trump!
You hit the mark. I was polled a couple of days ago. When they asked about the republican candidate the questions started with do you think so and so is honest bla bla bla.
When they asked about the rat it started with he was born of immigrant parents graduated college and so on.
I asked the pollster why are you not asking the same questions for both candidates and until you do, do not call my house
He is married to FOX CEO..WHAT EVER THE NETWORK SAYS TO SAY...HE DOES..
Last night ‘special report’ panel of George Wills, Mara Liaison, and tucker, were a total joke...
move over to FOX BUSINESS NETWORK..sadly Lou Dobbs is on vacation this week, but still better than Bret's gang.
Other than Hannity FNC is in the tank for Hillary. I used to watch the Six PM news hour on FNC. After this election cycle started I quickly realized the foxes were being exposed for what they really are and they are in the hen house. Will, the Kraut, Hume, Baier they are Republicans, LIBERAL Republicans and self-proclaimed so-called “conservatives”. The only thing about them conservative is they probably are conservative in their circle of communists friends but they are really 1990’s liberal democrats.
totally agree...
I was once totally addicted to FOX NEWS...feels so good to have broken the habit...
