A month has passed since FBI Director James Comey ripped into Hillary Clinton for the extremely careless way she handled classified emails while she was secretary of state, but stopped short of recommending that criminal charges be brought against her.
However, that doesnt mean Hillary is out of the FBI woods.
According to a source close to Comey, Hillary is still the target of an active FBI criminal investigation, but this time around, the media arent paying much attention.
With little public fanfare, Comeys agents have been looking into Hillarys relationship with foreign businessmen and governments who donated millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation and are suspected of having received favors from the secretary of state in return.
Such pay-to-play behavior falls under the category of public corruption, and Comeys agents are trying to determine whether Hillary conducted a series of secret meetings with foreigner donors separate from her duties as secretary of state.
Several people interviewed by the FBI have confirmed that Hillary did just that on numerous occasions while she was at the State Department.
There are a sizable number of agents on this case, said the source. I dont know exactly how many. Its fewer than were assigned to the email case, but its still dozens of agents. By any measure, its a major investigation.
Comey is taking every precaution against leaks while the investigation is ongoing. Hes ordered all the agents on the case to sign nondisclosure agreements and submit to random lie detector tests.
While this public-corruption investigation is going on, the FBI is also looking into new information that, as a result of Hillarys carelessness, hostile states like Iran hacked into her email system and compromised U.S. intelligence sources and personnel.
Hillary shouldnt imagine that shes free and clear. Comey may have pulled his punches the last time around because he didnt think his case was winnable in a court of law, but its possible that new evidence could shock the country and make Hillary a very vulnerable presidential candidate.
Comey is on the board of HSBC, the drug money laundering Bank, He will do for her Foundation what he did for her e-Mail....Whitewash.
I missed your post originally, but it kinda answers my question.
The fix was in decades ago.
Question: If Hillary gets elected, can she pardon herself for past crimes? I seem to remember another Clinton seeing if he could do the same thing!
By whom you mean, I assume, Claes Maartenszen van Rosenvelt, the original Roosevelt who came over sometime in the early 1600s, about the same time my oldest American ancestor came to Virginia as an indentured servant.
“A month has passed since FBI Director James Comey ripped into Hillary Clinton for the extremely careless way she handled classified emails while she was secretary of state, but stopped short of recommending that criminal charges be brought against her. Yes it does. When the law is “gross negligence” and the guy in charge of enforcing the law describes the offender’s actions as “the definition of carelessness, of negligence” and “extremely careless”, adds “I think she was negligent”, and then shrugs his shoulders, then it’s game over.
There, fixed it.
A full pardon? Are you suggesting Hillary will indeed be indicted? Can't receive a pardon for rumors. Pardons are reserved for the indicted/convicted.
“Comey is on the board of HSBC”
In Hong Kong the locals say that HSBC stands for “Holy Shit Batman Crooks!”
An indictment would come by way of an empaneled Grand Jury.
So now you know why there was no Grand Jury empaneled with the eMail case. The "Powers" that be + she wanted to run.
It' all just the process of Criminal Procedure and the short circuiting thereof -- at least on the eMails thing.
The Foundation activity might be something else. Could nearly as much damage be sustained by Hillary in a political sense, if Bill and Chelsea get indicted? Think of the speculation about what did she know and when did she know it? Her trustworthiness is already a matter of widely expressed public disdain. Even (D) pollster Doug Schoen doesn't try to make excuses for her on this point.
Politically speaking, the public speculation is all that is needed. Imagine if Obama is now in the position of having to consider pardoning Bill. Does he? Dare he do so politically - for his own legacy's sake? Either way Hillary is screwed politically.
What if the plan is to do the necessary political damage - an October surprise maybe, if Comey has secretly empaneled a Grand Jury already on the Clinton Foundation, indict Bill, but avoid Hillary's actual indictment until such a time as Obama is powerless to pardon her? Whatever anyone says here, one must admit that Comey has already done major political damage to HRC.
Sure. It's complete speculation on my part but I've had an an awful lot of fun doing it!
FReegards!
Horse manure, not THIS FBI.
Bull. The FBI is a part of the criminal enterprise we call the US government. It does what its overlords tell it to do. This nation became a banana republic while we slept.
You certainly have something there. Cleaning Hillary up is a full time job, with a deadline in November.
Yeah right...
LOL!
I defended Comey and the FBI right up to the last couple of minutes of his speech excusing Hillary.
He destroyed the republic and gave us an aristocracy.
Negligence with classified material is now acceptable.
Selling our secrets is now acceptable.
Comey is a traitor to the citizens of the United States.
His name belongs beside Benedict Arnold.
As for the FBI?
Disband it.
They aren’t worth the expense.
You had fun speculating....now its my turn.
I do think you might have hit some good notes there...b/c I believe Bill is pushing feeble Hillary into the presidency....that they intend to get back in by voter fraud.
Pres Hillary collapses.....Bill then does a Mrs woodro wilson...takes over the duties..
Keep in mind Bill thinks he's the "most beloved living president" and that people are clamoring for him to be back in the Oval Office.
