Armed police have been seen patrolling the beaches in St Tropez as security is ramped up in the light of the latest terror attacks to hit France.
Patrols of officers carrying rifles were seeing walking between sun-worshippers at the popular southern French resort just days after Cannes had banned all bags big enough to conceal a weapon.
French authorities are taking the extreme measures amid fears that the nation could be hit with further terror attacks.

St Tropez......hmmm would they put military in a poor part of France to keep out sharia types? That is high end vacation spot.
In case you missed it, Newt Gingrich appeared on Hannity’s show the night of the muslim slaughter by truck in Nice, France. In this 9 minute clip, Newt lays out why the behavior of the elite politicians in the West will spell the DEATH of WESTERN CIVILIZATION if they are not replaced with folks who admit we have an EXTENTIAL PROBLEM, ARE AT WAR and WINNING IT WILL REQUIRE THAT WE DO WHAT IS NECESSARY TO DEFEAT THEM.
Newt made one comment with which I take issue: His remark that we could tolerate “peaceful” muslims IF they announce or behave in such a way as to cause us to believe that they DO NOT practice or embrace shari’a.
Islam employs a devious practice they call “taqiyya”. It allows – even encourages – a muslim to LIE to the kaffir (the non-muslim) if the lie advances islam! Bottom line. There probably is no such thing as a PRACTICING muslim who can or should be trusted. ALL or them – AND THEIR MOSQUES – should be monitored 24/7 or deported!
Why? Because their quran COMMANDS them to behave in ONLY 3 ways toward the kaffir: 1. If temporarily to useful to islam, let them live and impose a heavy tax; 2. covert them to islam. 3 If they refuse to convert, KILL THEM! There IS NO MIDDLE GROUND!!
And there’s one more item to consider:
As several authors have correctly observed, those non-shari’a muslims are “irrelevant” as they fail to condemn the murderous radicals. And if the radicals succeed in their quest to dominate the world with their “caliphate”, these so called moderates – who profess to embrace the words of the quran and the verses calling for the murder of the infidel wherever he is found (and those who leave islam) – would quickly swing in behind the crazies to avail themselves of the worldly fruits of their victory.
All of which has caused me – and others who have not been cowed by political correctness into a cowardly and, eventually, deadly silence – to offer that there IS NO RADICAL ISLAM: THERE IS JUST ISLAM and ALL of its adherents pose a threat to those of us who are not.

When we were in Paris last year, there were armed soldiers at all of the main tourist areas.
Well, they are blocking the view of my yacht.

Next step is to put bullets in their guns. Hopefully it takes no more than one ‘event’ for that step to happen.

Of course the extremely wealthy are surrounded by security.
How many of those yachts are Saudi owned?
You would be a fool to vacation in France right now, especially Paris. The exception being if you were already living in Europe or Britain before your vacation. If trouble began, you could just hop on a flight and be in safer territory with an hour or two.
Look how our airports are after 9-11. Wouldn’t it have been easier to just keep the Muslims out?
