The base has been in the media lately in relation to the Turkish coup that took place on July 15. Turkish prosecutors and police have conducted searches of the base and detained air base commander Gen. Bekir Ercan Van there along with a dozen officers of lower rank who were accused of being part of the coup.

This is the second “siege” taken amid rumors of a second coup attempt. Turkish troops entered and exited the base. Rumors are the hot news in the ME and acted on as reliable.
Those tactical nukes should have been moved awhile back. Losing control of them is not an option. Although it would not shock me to find out that Omuslim has donated them to the new caliphate.

I also saw post that all was normal. Electricity and water had been restored and we were even resuming flights out.

No, Erdogan and the Turks don’t own the weapons. Sharing means the host country trains and equips aircraft for deliveries, and gets a vote on use from their soil. We can provide them to them if we wish.
But no, that old sharing program isn’t that we just hand them nukes.

The Clintons and all other corrupted shakedown artists are trying to make a deal with Erdogan. Possibly this time however, the US is the party that will be shaken down.
Is there a website to go to (other than FB or Twitter) for current updates of what is going on in Turkey?
I’m sure FB is blocked but it’s not all inclusive anyway neither is Twitter-they seem to be the continual last gasp in in publishing fair and balanced news reporting.
Is there someone on the ground who can telephone out & give updates for a web address?
