I keep seeing post like this.

I also saw post that all was normal. Electricity and water had been restored and we were even resuming flights out.

Does anyone have a RELIABLE source of info. One thread I was following actually had the facebook page of the base which had a post on it requesting bogus reports stop.

Is there a website to go to (other than FB or Twitter) for current updates of what is going on in Turkey?

I’m sure FB is blocked but it’s not all inclusive anyway neither is Twitter-they seem to be the continual last gasp in in publishing fair and balanced news reporting.

Is there someone on the ground who can telephone out & give updates for a web address?

Is or has a web address been established for uncensored information coming out of Turkey to be published?

I'm also curious. In Berlin, the USSR allowed us to fly in supplies. But if air flights are halted again for any length of time, this becomes a medieval siege — a hundred times worse than the Iran Hostage Crisis.

I am not merely curious but also very concerned. If they are virtually ignored by the White House, this could turn into a disaster. And if there’s an assault on the airbase, would Obama be willing to use nukes on Turkey?
