An unarmed Florida therapist was shot by police while trying to calm down his autistic patient, authorities said.
Police in North Miami were responding to a report of a man with what appeared to be a gun when they came across Charles Kinsey and his patient, who had run away from a group home.

I think Mr. Charles Kinsey is going to end up a very rich man.
cmon, lost keys are a mistake....missed Dr appts are a mistake.....discharging a weapon on someone THREE TIMES while they lay prone on the ground, hands in the air is just grossly negligent
Cop probably shouldn’t be a cop but the whole BLM sham certainly had a role in affecting his mindset going into the situation.
Shoot an unarmed man who had his hands up? I think more that firing would be appropriate in this case.
Good man trying to do a good thing in life...instead of being a thug...and because of blm and Obama’s war on cops...a cop overreacts. The guy should have yelled I am a therapist and dropped any thing in his hand. at least he was not killed
I suggest that it's incidents like this that gives the whole BLM movement the ammunition it needs to keep going.
Nah, bring it on. This narrative is working to bring chaos.
Welcome to Obama’s America.
So it's all the victims fault? Having his hands up, empty, and yelling "I'm a therapist", as the story says he was doing, wasn't enough to demonstrate there was no danger to the life and safety of the police officer or the surrounding public? What more should he have done?
This story is being told from the perspective of hindsight. Police were responding to a 911 call about a man with a gun. When they arrived they didn’t know there was a handicapped individual involved, only that a person was not complying. Let’s wait until we get the facts before judging one way or the other.
Somehow I doubt that was his motivation at the time.
Sorry but BLM was created based on a fiction. They don’t need anything but a cooperative media to continue.
Without the media and public scrutiny how many of these "mistakes" would just be covered up and nobody would know what goes on?
And idiocies like this allow them to continue.
so they would have gone away if this didn’t happen?
Nah, they’ll find some unpaid parking tickets and say he deserved it.
“Police were responding to a 911 call about a man with a gun. “
And when they actually got there and saw the scene we are looking at in that video, they couldn’t tell that there wasn’t an actual threat? There’s a guy lying on the ground with his hands in the air, and an obviously mentally imbalanced man sitting on the ground playing with a toy truck. And the Keystone Kops are acting like they’re in imminent danger. These are our protectors?
I suggest that it has been decades of incidents like this which made #Blacklivesmatter crap even remotely possible.
The problem is, when the police make “mistakes”, innocent people usually lose their lives. But, as long as you are not one of the innocents, who cares? Right.
I think you're probably right, and that without cell phones these kind of incidents would continue to be swept under the rug.
Black Lives Matter was a movement founded on an incident which proved to be a hoax. That doesn't mean that there aren't other incidents that prove their point.
