If it weren't for Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton would be the most disliked major-party presidential nominee in recent American history.
That qualifier, of course, is important here. Clinton doesn't need to be liked; she needs to be liked slightly more than Trump in what will very likely boil down to a two-candidate race.
But it's hard to overstate just how bad Clinton's numbers are. And a new Washington Post-ABC News poll is the latest to suggest they just keep getting worse so much so that they are in some ways about as bad as Trump's.
The poll shows 54 percent of all Americans have an unfavorable view of Clinton and 44 percent have a "strongly unfavorable" view of her. When you boil it down just to registered voters, those numbers tick up to 57 percent and 47 percent, respectively.
Either way you slice it, Clinton's image is as bad or worse than it has ever been.

But while Trump has certainly struggled, he seems to have leveled off and maybe even improved a bit in recent months.
Clinton, meanwhile, is trending worse and worse and flirting with Trumpian levels of negative feelings.

I think the recent epidemic of police assassinations by black Muslims might have a "wee" bit to do with it.
And this comes as a surprise to the WaPo?! Man, they are out of touch!
And they're planning the same route for Hillary.....except her numbers keep collapsing.
Nobody will believe a crank candidate like Hillary sinking in political
quicksand is the winner ....even if they dare to declare her the winner.
She's dumb. She has no charisma. She cannot connect with people. She speaks like a electronic recording. When she has to speak extemporaneously, she invariably puts her foot in her mouth. And we haven't even gotten to her history of scandal, repeated almost constant lying, bodies left in her and Billy Jeff's wake, her enabling of her raping and harassing and assaulting horn-dog husband, tens of millions of dollars magically earned, and outright law-breaking.
The conventions only meant nothing because of the endless parade of focus-grouped, cliche-ridden, perfectly polished, Romney-esque speeches one had to sit through. Rudy Giuliani was a good start last night - now people are really going to want to se how Trump tops him. :)
That is the most surprising thing of all.
I tend to disagree. She is a policy wonk and could embarrass him with her command of facts. That will make it appear to the foolish that she actually knows what she is doing.
LOL!
"Senator McCain, please name the foreign ministers of Uzbeckistan, Kajikstan, and Outer Mongolia, and describe how you'd match US foreign policy to better relations between those three nations. And please, be specific. You have two minutes."
"Senator Obama, Please talk about your favorite color while you pet this kitten."
Well said
(Coffee handle) ute.
And by doing so will further demonstrate her unfitness for office. If she can't stand up to Trump, how can she stand up to Putin? The mullahs? ISIS? etc...
Personally, who needs the debates? They serve mainly for the media to play gotcha! with the GOP candidate, or as we saw in 2012, blatantly support their choice a la Candy Crowley.
It is FAR WORSE than the Wash Post/ABC poll is letting on.
If they try that Trump will give Candy Crowley the Megan Kelly treatment. And America will stand-up and cheer!
We have a candidate that will not allow the MSM to control either the tempo or the topics of the debate.
Trump is not afraid to insert any topic into any question at any time.
He will have both Hillary and the moderators blathering like idiots.
“For some reason, the peasants are having negative feelings about the drunken, old, sick, bisexual, amoral, corrupt, wicked libtard’s manifest destiny!”
Could it be that the failures of Bush II, and the idiocy of JEB! reminded them why the founding fathers rejected an inherited aristocratic monarchy and decided to experiment with a free republic of the people, by the people and for the people? Real Americans don’t want an aristocracy whether it is the Roosevelt dynasty, the Kennedy dynasty, the Bush dynasty, the Clinton dynasty, or the Obama dynasty. No more political dynasties! Ever!
***Dont forget Hillary has the dead vote, the illegal vote, the multiple vote, and with the cooperation from the current administration, can once again lose the military absentee ballots somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean.***
My thoughts exactly.
She's basically running as the Republican candidate in 2016, in that she's a big-government globalist who is ready to throw almost every Democratic constituency (labor unions, environmentalists, blacks, Jews, etc.) under the bus ... after they vote for her.
