Over the weekend, Black Lives Matter protestors shut down I-94 in St. Paul for about five hours to protest the death of Philando Castile, who was shot by a police officer. During the protest, 27 cops were injured after people threw molotov cocktails, fireworks, and rocks at the officers. One officer suffered a spinal fracture after a concrete block landed on his head.

One hundred and two people were arrested throughout the night.
Images of fireworks being thrown at police went viral as people expressed their disbelief.

Meanwhile, Castile's family disavowed the protestors, saying that was not how they wanted Philando to be remembered.
On behalf of myself and our entire family, we urge all people to remain peaceful in all demonstrations throughout our community and our nation. When demonstrations become violent, it disrespects my son and his memory. Philando was a man of peace and dignity. Please, I ask you to at all times remain peaceful in your expressions of concern regarding his death at the hands of the police. I promise that we will not rest until justice prevails, said Valerie Castile, mother of Philando Castile, in a statement Sunday.
There. Fixed it.
This news reader, Marc Lamont Hill, claims that blacks can not be racist, just like muslims can't be terrorists.
Rioters, like looters, should be shot.
Has an apology been sent to the guy who threw the block?
Since the police were mostly unresponsive, he had it coming
the only defense is aggressive offense
he should make the protestors be injured for their cause
+1
Road Frisbees!
Still not enough to call out the National Guard?
Subhuman street savages.
This is terrible. Prayers up for him and his family and friends.
This is not fair tour police. The National Guard should keep these folks under control.
everybody, every FReepers, watch out for these mother ####ers and give it to them before they give it to you if attacked.
I talk a tough game and am pretty tough but this has me a little shaken. Concrete blocks!!
Throwing concrete through a cops window to kill him and family.
I live in NYC and have taken drastic steps to protect me and my own. I know many are prepared.
But a concrete block thrown from behind at your head makes any means of self defense useless.
While in the hospital, the only concern he had was how soon he could heal so he could return back to the precinct.
Before he came home, my friend asked his wife what he liked. She told her "Peanut butter cookies - and Maker's Mark". Neighbors met him on his return trip from the hospital with plenty of both.
Yo Doug.....dogs and fire hoses might help.
Make sure the White men, young, old & in between, turn out to vote in November. We must overcome the Hillary-Soros crime syndicate that will have hundreds of millions in illegal campaign funds with which to buy votes. It will take every one of us to save America from destruction.
I agree. These officers hands are tied and they need to be able to tear into these anarchists with full force BY ANY MEANS POSSIBLE!
Make sure the White men, young, old & in between, turn out to vote in November.
you’re forgetting that college educated whites including men, will never back Trump in any numbers...they are by far the most involved voters, 77% in 2012, and Romney carried them at 56%...and still lost
any regression from that 56% (and there will surely be) causes numerous problems...
As to the policeman, prayers for his recovery and to his family. I'm surprised his skull wasn't crushed and he's still alive. God bless him.
