Never let it be said that Newt Gingrich is predictable.
As the political world waits to see if the former Georgia congressman and U.S. House speaker gets tapped to be Donald Trumps running mate, Gingrich teamed up with his former Crossfire partner Van Jones to discuss this weeks shootings in Dallas, Baton Rouge and Minnesota.
Speaking on Facebook Live, Gingrich was his typically direct self. But, in this age of polarized politics, whether it be of the electoral or racial variety, Gingrichs comments were also remarkable. Here is the key quote:
It took me a long time, and a number of people talking to me through the years to get a sense of this. If you are a normal, white American, the truth is you dont understand being black in America and you instinctively under-estimate the level of discrimination and the level of additional risk.

As I stated previously. Gingrich needs to fade away.
Worst possible choice for VP for Mr. Trump, IMO.
This is just another illustration of why he should not be considered for the VP slot.
“they are disproportionally criminal “
Now you are firing on all 6 cylinders. Ask yourself when was the last time you saw the cops cuffing a white perp on the 6:00PM news? Its not racist its just true.
The fact that 50% of the people shot by cops are white is also important as the emphasis is only on black shootings. In reality the untrue meme about black shootings vs white shootings is never reported. Since whites commit proportionately less crimes the 50% shooting rate is commensurate with black figures.
Weren’t we told there would be a “revolution” within FBI if Jezebel was not charged???
Once one realizes the fraud involved in this, it is the same apparatus which murdered LaVoy Finicum and is now using the US Courts to “death by prison time” of the Bundy group, one finds the facts that you will remember ALL of these FOX insiders brainwashing every person that the FBI would resign in this great drama if Mrs. Clinton was indicted...........now has the reality of more of the reality of how corrupt America is.
Oh my...my oh my oh my. Neither of these you mentioned are conservative, moderate middle of the road establishment republican good ol boyz....yes.
True conservatives? Greg Abbott, Dan Patrick, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, Jeff Sessions, Clarence Thomas, the late Anthony Scalia...now those are true dye in the wool constitutional conservatives.
DC smells like a sewer in the Middle East, ya think? How do these vermin look at themselves in the mirror knowing that they’re helping destroy this country?
It does suck to be a member of an under-achieving entitlement/criminal class. It shouldn't, but probably does. Thank LBJ for that.
“DC smells like a sewer in the Middle East, ya think? “
I’ve never been to the ME, would that be anything like a Parisian Subway on a hot day?
When we all go to looking at ourselves as humans and not hyphenated Americans then things will change. We we stop acting like we are animals in a jungle things will get better. When we start acting and thinking like we should things will get better.
Just look at kids in school. Look at all these average folks that fight and scream in public. We act like animals more than human.
If it had been left up to the Press and Government you would most probably would not have known it.
You folks just don’t get it. Newt is setting himself up for the vp slot. Let the Donald call out the BLM folks AFTER he’s elected. That will soften things up when he ends Affirmative Action.
Yes it does, but in the end they have only themselves to blame. Other groups of people, including other racial "minorities," were subject to many of the same policies but don't exhibit nearly the same level of social dysfunction and economic failure.
I meant the vermin politicians smell like sewer trash, ya think?
“It does suck to be a member of an under-achieving entitlement/criminal class. It shouldn’t, but probably does. Thank LBJ for that.”
I don’t necessarily blame LBJ for that. Membership in such a class is generally, I believe, a personal choice. Some might disagree with me, but I believe if someone really wants to better themselves, they can, and it is their choice to do so or not to do so.
However, these guys are constantly labeled as conservatives - though not by me. As for Ted Cruz - I used to think he was a conservative but then he turned weird. I agree Jeff Session and Anthony Scalia are conservatives. For me one of several criteria for labeling somebody conservative is patriotism and another one is opposition to globalism. No patriotic American would ever promote open borders, gush over illegal aliens, and welcome Syrian “refugees.”
It’s poverty
Read it here last night my own self
Speaking of gushing, what was Mike Lee doing lavishing praise on Elizabeth Warren? Out of the other side of his mouth, he was doing his best to frag the presumptive GOP nominee. With ‘conservatives’ like these, who needs enemies?
Yes, but sometimes a weak person only needs some encouragement to remain an underachiever (”not yo’ fault”, “white man keepin’ you down”, etc.).
Newt, up yours, seriously. Don’t frigging tell me what I understand.
Mr. Trump, please reconsider having this circus clown involved with your administration in any capacity, and PLEASE don’t pick him to be your running mate.
>>For me one of several criteria for labeling somebody conservative is patriotism and another one is opposition to globalism<<
Absolutely. One for me is an understanding of the U.S. Constitution.
I’d bet dime to donuts 90% of all Congressman/Senators could not recite the bill or rights, even in a paraphrased form. It is the ignorance of our constitution and the lack of study of the intent of the bill of rights that lends itself to various idiotic interpretations, thereby eroding liberty.
