Morning Joe did a very decent job today of covering the shooting of police officers in Dallas and the issue of police shootings of African-American. The remarks were generally even-handed. Even Al Sharpton was cautious and balanced in his comments. And so it was surprising that of all people, Chuck Todd made the most tendentious remark.
Speaking of the shooting of Philando Castile in St. Paul, Minnesota, and discussing the need for better police training, Todd said: how do you train prejudice and hate out of somebodys heart? Thats a tough thing. Is there racism among police? Of course, as there is in every segment of society. Was the Minnesota governor right when he said Castile would be alive if he were white? Quite possibly. But for Todd to focus on police prejudice and hate was a gross and unfair overgeneralization. Chuck Todd: please spend a few days in a police cruiser in an inner city. See what the police see and have to deal with every day. Then come back and tell us whether police prejudice and hate is the key to the problems facing our society.

Uhhh, the Police Officer who shot Philandro was Hispanic.
So much for that narrative. Or I just suppose he’s another “White Hispanic.”
Perhaps if you convinced that 3% of the population comprising young black males to stop committing 40% of all crime, the cops might be persuaded that they aren't as dangerous as they now routinely believe them to be?
It isn't "hate" which motivates them, it's the rational realization that a huge segment of the criminals they deal with comes from that tiny little group called "young black males."
On Morning Joe, Chuck Todd focused on police “prejudice and hate.” Al Sharpton was more temperate in his remarks: what does that say?
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
That Al Sharpton is acknowledged at all if my question.
Jackass. Yes, tell us all about policing. And also tell us about why half the homicides in America are coming from 3% of the population.
Tell you what, Chuckie. Why don’t you ride along with a couple of cops patrolling a tough part of town for a mere 3 months. And you go along with them and see what they see for 6+ hours a day, and you come back and tell us what you think about the people who live in those areas, for whatever reasons they live in those areas, and what they do and how they behave.
Tell the disgusting punk that it’s easy to sneer while you’re sitting in a nice comfy TV studio next to liar and a fraud.
Strap on a gun, hit the streets, and tell us what you think then after a month of dealing with the worst people on the planet.
That verges on inciting ..
Besides being a demonstrable LIE.
Chuck Todd is criminally ignorant.
“Better police training?” What the hell does that mean?
We are asking young, highly athletic men and women to learn a great deal of “street law”, how to locate, isolate and take down a suspect in the most expeditious manner possible, remember to exercise constraint in the face of sometimes overwhelming odds against themselves, and somehow not let these “rules of engagement” get them killed very, very quickly.
Yes. Tell us about the “better police training”. It would be interesting to learn just what “good” police work is supposed to include.
BLAME THE VICTIM!

Black Crimes Matter
Chuck Todd will NEVER be cut another break by a traffic cop in his life.
Chuck sure has defensive posture in this pic...almost as if someone gave him a script and said follow it or else.
And self-preservation out of police brains?
Not as tough as it seems to be to “train” black men to raise their children.
