Who’s even more powerful than the king? The person who gets to pick the king. And as of this morning that person is, quite possibly, FBI Director James Comey.
Today’s Morning Joe reported breaking news from the New York Times: Attorney General Loretta Lynch has decided that she will accept the recommendation of the FBI regarding its investigation of Hillary Clinton’s e-mails. If Comey recommends against an indictment of Hillary, that would lift a huge cloud that has been dragging her candidacy down. It would put Hillary in a very strong position to become the next president. But should Comey recommend the indictment of Hillary, her candidacy would effectively be destroyed. Dems might scramble to replace her as their candidate, but in any case Donald Trump would be well-positioned to win the election.

He’ll deliver a report without recommendation.
Then Lynch will need to appoint a special prosecutor (2-3 months).
Then the prosecutor will need to “get up to speed” (1-2 months).
The election will happen during this time.
Then Hillary will receive her pardon.
No way anyone is going to make the decision to indict or not indict. There’s no good outcome (for the people involved) in either of those things happening. And the good of the country is way down on their priority list.
Hopefully I’m wrong but considering who’s involved I can’t imagine honest actions.
This reminds me of the nothing lawyer just out of law school hired by the mob to defend the mob boss.
The prosecution had all the evidence needed to convict-—and as he made his summation to the jury, the prosecution said this man is guilty of every crime in the book...but his biggest crime is taking the fifth, refusing to defend himself.
The nothing layer sprang to his feet and called for a mistrial which was granted....b/c one cannot impugn a motive to a defendant taking the fifth in a court of law.
The mob congratulated the nothing lawyer for being so brilliant.
It was only later the nothing lawyer found out....the mob had paid the prosecution to say what he did.
True story.
Comey will either be a hero or a villain. There’s no in between for him.

How so? The lying criminal has already signaled that were this to happen she would remain in the race and blame the indictment on the “vast right wing conspiracy”. This strategy has always worked well for them - to wit when her husband the rapist committed perjury in the sexual harassment lawsuit and was impeached - any honorable person would have simply resigned the presidency as Nixon did and go away forever. No, this family is all about power and there is nothing in their past to suggest she would drop out of the race but instead she would double down and try to use the indictment to her advantage. This has always worked for them in the past, so why quit this time?
Sadly, most dems are either dishonest or ignorant and they would lap up the “conspiracy” crap as they always have. Whether this strategy will work this time well I guess time will tell.
Well, I guess we will find out if Comey has integrity or he’s just another bought and paid for DC elite. I fear the second option.
A presentation to a grand jury is simply a prosecutors assessment the information at hand warrants a review by a grand jury to determine if there is a sufficiency of evidence to go forth to a trial, nothing more. At this point from public information readily available there is more than ample evidence to proceed to a grand jury presentation.
All the grand jury needs is a quorum and a 50% plus one voting in favor of an indictment, or charge. The matter than goes before the courts. Now then, whom is on the grand jury. In this case it is probably a special grand jury convened with its members being employees of the clinton crime family foundation!!
I don’t see what difference any of this makes. Whoever is in charge, Cankles will skate.
Obama hasn’t exactly been getting everything he wants lately. Whatever Comey does there’s bound to be someone who worked on the case that’s going to be disgruntled over a non indictment- how do you keep all the agents silent?
It all depends on what the meaning of the word ‘accept’ is. Bureaucrats and politicians are very slippery people.
The decision has been made many levels above Comey or Lynch.
The Elite want Hillary as President, and they don’t care what it looks like.
The Elite will also instruct the media to spin and bury this.

Why do people think that an indictment will ruin Hillary’s campaign and chances of becoming president?
Has nobody been watching politics in the US for the last 40 years? Did we all just wake up from a coma? Are people deranged? Following an indictment, the media will defend her, the right will be vilified as mean and out to get the girl. She’ll be felt sorry for. Charges will be dropped and it will be old news by the time she is sworn in.
If The Beast was caught on camera executing Mother Teresa, she get 40% of the American vote.
Of course we don’t know with certainty, but the voices speaking out about the impropriety of the accused meeting surreptitiously with the AG, including the loud voice of the Old Gray Whore indicates the matter is out of Obama control.
I would guess Obama is seething mad and his minions close at hand are having seizures and conniptions at the turn of events spiraling out of their control.
Is COMEY a Democrat or a GOPe? Is he really going to do

I wade around in the DUmp. Some of the posters there are justifiably concerned about this little investigation...and they are pounced upon by a band of morons who refuse to believe there is even a criminal investigation going on. To them, even that reality is a conspiracy. They won’t believe anything bad about her ever.
