A former adviser to Donald Trump floated Utah Rep. Mia Love on Friday as a possible pick for vice president on the real-estate mogul's ticket.
"If you were to name some people that nobody is talking about, to keep an eye on with the vice president [pick] who would you say we should keep our eye on?" asked Brian Kilmeade, a Fox News Radio host.
The former adviser, Michael Caputo, prefaced his answer by saying he was "never in those discussions" because they were "above my pay grade."
That said, he provided a couple names.
"The two people I think you should look at - and these are unorthodox. First is Mia Love, the congresswoman, somebody who is an African-American leader with really bright ideas and an ability to communicate," Caputo said.
"Is there a relationship there?" Kilmeade asked.
"There is. People are looking at her. There is an incredible opportunity for the Republican Party," Caputo replied.

Add to that the fact that Utah press today is reporting that despite being an elected delegate to the Republican convention, Mia has come up with some lame excuse about going on a trip overseas to study terrorism, and won’t be able to attend to do the job she was elected to do as a delegate.
Tom Cotton wanted the US to go to war with Russia over Syria. Not a good sign.
Blackburn would make the most sense given Trump’s overall pronouncements on a VP. She has real social conservative cred but is also part of the Republican House leadership team. She is probably at the upper limit for age though.
Pandering ended a year ago when Trump doubled down on illegal immigration and didn’t apologize. Why some Freepers want so badly to go backwards, I don’t know.
I have read that Rep Love went to the hill and morphed into another RINO. Is that factual?
Mia Love? I seriously doubt it. She has been pretty much co-opted by the establishment.
Agree...please NO Love.
Sessions
Do not blame Trump when he chooses a VP.
THERE ARE NO GOOD CHOICES FOR VP!
Palin or Sessions are good, the rest have accomplished little but a warm body.
There is an incredible opportunity for the Republican Party
What does that mean?
Know absolutely zip about Cotton. Early on received email from Love wanting money. Sent it to spam. Also received couple of mailers from her campaign which were returned in their remittance envelope with a short note saying no thanks and acknowledging that we had allowed ourselves to be fooled once but wouldn’t happen again.
Really, really had high hopes for her.
Only two we are supporting this time are Nehlen and Ward. Ryan and McCain need to be gone. Anyone else with a R after their name would certainly be an improvement of what we have now. Time does tell whether it was a worthwhile investment.
We need someone with the heavy/seriousness of Trump,
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez, no more wimps for VP!
“There is. People are looking at her. There is an incredible opportunity for the Republican Party,” Caputo replied.
An incredible opportunity to WHAT? Pander to one minority group or another?
What makes her qualified to be President if Trump becomes incapacitated, or worse? She’s a one term Congresswoman.
Look at her voting record. Mia Love can go burn in hell as far as I am concerned. RINO Bitch.
“But, what can the Democrats say, if a black woman is Trumps running mate? What can they say about diversity and all that, if Trump picks a woman, a minority, or both, to be his running mate???”
Does it matter to you what they say?
OK, I’ll give you a break. They will call her Aunt Jemima. They will say “how come the sista has to sit in the back da bus when Democrats already put a brutha in the driver’s seat?” And so on.
If your question is serious, you need to read Vox Day’s “SJWs always lie”, especially the last chapter about rhetoric vs. dialectics. What Democrats say is never an argument, it’s a punch in the face.
Learn to punch back.
Jeff Sessions, R-Alabama
I thought that there is a small group of swing voters, more moderate voters, who think that the Democrats are the party of diversity, etc. and that the GOP is a party of older white voters.
I also am thinking that this group of swing voters would be persuaded to consider voting Republican, by seeing a minority or woman on the ticket with Trump, which would prove that the Democrats lie about all this diversity stuff.
Am I wrong? Are there not any moderate swing voters, who hear this crap and worry that Trump and Republicans are all racist, don’t care about minorities and all the rest of it? Am I wrong to think that some such voters could be persuaded?
I’ll say it too: Sessions will be VP.
You’re overthinking it.
Look at how many demos with their minority checklists flocked to Bernie, who doesn’t fit any of the demographics.
Demos = dems
