COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. --
Dressed in Donald Trump shirts and hats, the family walked up to the window at the Cook Out on Boulevard in Colonial Heights to order burgers and milkshakes.
"As soon as we got to the window, someone inside said 'Hell no! I'm not serving them,'" Riggs told WTVR.
After a few minutes of discussion behind the window, their orders were eventually taken.
"Everyone was laughing and giggling," Riggs said about the uncomfortable situation.
At one point, she said, an employee yelled that an order was ready, but when her cousin went to the window to claim the food, she was told, "Oh not for you!"
"You should not be discriminated based on who you support, whether it be Bernie, Hillary or Mr. Trump," Riggs said.
While the employees laughed, Riggs said, she canceled her order and asked for the number to corporate.

The best action is to give them very bad reviews on YELP:
Little investment, solid pay-off.
Email the link to your conservative friends, too.
While the management may be reasonable, the prudent thing is to make an EXAMPLE out of this branch.
Unclean, bad service, wrong change, etc.
I figure the employees did this entirely on their own. No company is going to do something this stupid as part of a corporate plan. Well, maybe one or two might, for example Target.

I wont be surprised if Trump himself takes a crowd of volunteers to the restaurant across the street. I love when this stuff happens.
Got it from internet search on Bing. Searched Cook-Out corp office.
We don’t have those restaurants in my area and I have never heard of them before today.
Sue em! And don’t eat that food!
TOTALLY AGREE..never trust a liberal...I would not consider that ‘safe food’ for consumption.
I would have informed them that I would contact corp. office and walk away...
THEN FOLLOW UP AND LET CORPORATE KNOW ABOUT THE INCIDENT. GET SOME NAMES BEFORE YOU LEAVE...
Could be a bunch of local jerks to blame.
And when Target did it, Target did it big. No half hearted wickedness out of them.
It’s OK, no problem. I’m just concerned that some seem to want to get a buycott going, and the company does not deserve it.
I’d say so.
i think any company, person, etc can get complacent with their routine. I suspect that Cook Out will have a revised training manual by week’s end. HQ probably thought they didnt have to contend with this sort of thing short of saying ‘treat the customer with respect’ ( you’d think that’d be enough) but the heat will be on mgt to make sure employees dont act like jerks, as well as tightening up hiring practices, if that is possible.
Great point on that parallel .
They didnt seem to offer an apology, they just said the issue had been resolved.
I believe in this context the poster is using "Mormon" as a code for "Amish".
i guess they can’t sue for discrimination because they’re not a sanctioned class. Bummer.

From a FAR FAR left liberal “family’ lawyer.....
“”””The reason we have protected classes is because certain groups are usually the targets of discrimination. It doesn’t work to just say “don’t discriminate against anyone.” Additionally, there are different standards for when “discrimination” is allowed/challenged depending on the circumstances. For example, when it comes to age we can’t just say “don’t discriminate” because there are reasons that would pass the “rational basis test” as to why we should. It does not make sense to say just “do not discriminate” when different groups of people are discriminated for different reasons. We must define the groups of people to figure out how much protection should be afforded to the group when it comes to constitutional challenges.””””
What it has to do with Mormons is that certain bigoted Freepers can’t see the word “Utah” in post (article was from a Fox affiliate in Salt Lake City reporting about at event that happened in Virginia.) without spewing their cut and paste anti-Mormon hate. Their post then draws in their other bigoted friends who post ridiculous off topic posts. It gets old, Jim.
Yes it was smart to cancel the order and refuse the food. As soon as their is any kind of contention between you and the servers or cooks you don’t want to eat there even if its free.
A very excellent point.
