One million sign petition to oust judge in Brock Turner case. Will it matter?
CNN ^ | June 10, 2016 | Eliott C. McLaughlin

(CNN) — The number appears resounding: More than one million people want Judge Aaron Persky to lose his job for what's been widely viewed as a lenient sentence in the Brock Turner rape case.

So, more people than who live in San Francisco want to see Persky tossed out for handing a white, well-to-do former Stanford University athlete a six-month sentence for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman.

But will this yield any real action, or is this just another example of "slacktivism" or "clicktivism," arguably meaningless acts of supporting social causes without investing any real effort in effecting change?

It will only matter to those whose vonads are small enough to believe that anything typed on a keyboard, has the same strength, as a Case V42 applied to the ribcage.

For me, the judge was weak. I am sure that a concerned citizen might have the fortitude to exact punishment.

People refusing to work on juries presided over by this judge will have some effect.

Well, California did vote “not to retain” one of our State Supreme Court Chief Justices, Rose Elizabeth Bird ( a Jerry Brown appointee). She was a worthless POS (nataurally) and she got done in by not following the law as regards the death penalty as I recall. This guy Persky will stand for “reaffirmation” at some point in the future, and that will be the most likely place where he gets the boot.

Wasn’t rape, at one time, a capital offense?

Liberal Democrat judge.

Supported and endorsed by Mike Honda, one of the most leftist in congress, and when he lost his attempt via election, Gray Davis appointed him.

The liberal press will back him and accuse the girl who egged him on although being unconscious at the time.

Might want to read through this. Persky is at this time running unopposed for reelection to the bench. He can also be recalled if 81,000 valid signatures are gathered by August. I hope the POS looses his job! This prick was appointed by Gray Davis who was the governor we recalled. Davis was Jerry Brown’s chief of staff.

That poor victim told the probation officer that she didn’t want to see him rot in jail. The judge took that into consideration. In other news, the Steubenville rapist, Trent Mays had his sex offender status lowered from Tier II to Tier I. Before the case went to trial, the mother of the victim had been asked if she would prefer that he be tried as an adult or rather as a juvenile. She went the charitable route and now, that poop chute is going to torment her the rest of her life, petitioning the court every 3 years to remove him from sex offender registry altogether. It doesn’t pay to be charitable to these types.

It wasn’t one, it was three. Cruz Reynoso and Joseph Grodin being the other two

Details matter. The campus feminists and their activist friends in the media are calling this “rape”. In fact, there never was any intercourse and he never took off his clothes. So it WAS sexual assault.

“It wasn’t one, it was three. Cruz Reynoso and Joseph Grodin being the other two”

That’s right! I had forgotten the other two POS! Bout time we started getting rid of more of them, starting with this turd Persky! I live in CoCoCounty. Some years ago we voted out a POS judge named Richard Calhoon who was a Republican. After voting, my wife and I went to the grocery store and guess what, Calhoon tried to cut the line at the checkout counter. So I turned to him and said “ It’s o.k. for you to cut the line but the two of us just voted against you!” The look on his face was priceless! But you know what, his buddy judges, made him a position as a Traffic Referee (kinda like a judge and you have a courtroom). These bastards never loose, because of the buddy system.

Just a note: All the upstanding outraged citizens who want 25 years for Brock Turner were completely silent when Bill Clinton raped Juanita Broderick and Hillary Clinton led the Bimbo Eruption Squad to trash her character and destroy her life.

And if Turner was a Homo and his victim a White male Stanford athlete, I bet you'd see a different outrage.
