THE HISPANIC NATIONAL BAR ASSOCIATION REJECTS TRUMP'S RACIST ASSERTIONS

Washington, DC – The Hispanic National Bar Association represents the interests of nearly 54 million Hispanics/Latinos in the United States, which is approximately 17% of the U.S. population. By his recent derogatory remarks about Mexican immigrants, Donald Trump’s disrespect of such a large segment of the population of America is not only unbelievable, but outright wrong. His comment that Mexico only sends rapists and criminals to the United States reveals a racist nature that cannot and will not go unnoticed by the Hispanic National Bar Association nor the Latino community.

Those who seek our highest public office should attempt to engage all Americans, not divide us. His comments are clearly divisive and racist and do nothing to promote equality and justice for all. Trump’s statements reveal a bias that all Americans should reject and respond to accordingly. We cannot stand silent and allow Trump to promote such racist and discriminatory behavior. This is the time for all Americans to take a stand against his insensitive, offensive and untrue statements.

The HNBA calls for a boycott of all of Trump business ventures, including golf courses, hotels, and restaurants. We salute NBC/Universal, Univision and Macy’s for ending their association with Trump, and we join them in standing up against bigotry and racist rhetoric. Other businesses and corporations should follow the lead of NBC/Universal, Univision and Macy’s and take similar actions against Donald Trump’s business interests. We can and will make a difference.

Cynthia D. Mares HNBA National President

“THE HISPANIC NATIONAL BAR ASSOCIATION “.......

What else did we expect they would do but reject Trumps assertion?

Oh wow! The sub-logical stink-people think there's nothing wrong with a taupe judge favoring pigment-challenged lawbreakers...

...isn't that specialllllll.

Either send them all back across the border, or to zoos so people can watch them and study their weird and amoral ethnic habits. LMAO!!!!

How are Trumps comments racist? Mexico is a country, not a race. “Raza” means “race.”

I must admit, I am pleased to have been shown that it is now acceptable to throw eggs at, and/or run up and sucker punch, anyone and everyone with whom we disagree. Boy, am I going to pound some nut-brown sphincters to pulp at the next Bernie or Hitlery gatherings.

I think Trump is experiencing far more racism from the La Razans than the other way around. After all who's showing up at his rallies to intimidate, harass, and throw things at his supporters?

Are white people really racist if they don't want to have to work an extra day a week so a group of people can get "free" food, housing, healthcare, and college educations especially when they can't receive any of the same benefits because of reverse racism exhibited by minority social workers?

So who are the real racists here?

So, now the Judge is a member of an organization specifically calling for a boycott someone and his company whom the Judge is presiding over in an important case?

Shouldn't the Judge resign from the organization or disavow the boycott? If not, shouldn't he at least recuse himself from the case? If not, why not?

Wouldn't a "white" judge have a howling mob and the thunderous media after him if he were in the same position like being a member of a country club that restricted it's membership? In fact, we have seen precisely that and even had a Supreme Court nominee (Clement Haynsworth) turned down for that very reason!

“The Hispanic National Bar Association represents the interests of nearly 54 million Hispanics/Latinos in the United States, which is approximately 17% of the U.S. population.”

By its own statement the organization admits it is not inclusive and is discriminatory. The IRS should immediately revoke its non-profit, tax exempt status.

Can we have a National White Bar Assiciation? Of course not. It’s racist. And so is this group. Trump is right.

Could, though I think most people identify with religious or ethnic traits. There are Jewish, Christian, Catholic and Muslim bar associations, as well as many ethnic groups other than Hispanic. Seems to me the issue is the boycott.

I guess Hispanic lawyers are not that good.

I don’t recall a White Anglo Protestant Bar Association. The name in itself explains a very nasty racist bias. These leftist bigots have had control of the conversation far too long.

There are several Christian/Catholic associations. I'd disagree that it's the name, it's the actions we should be concerned about. La Raza as a name is a different issue, it is racist both in appearance and intent.

As a term racism is commonly used to describe ethnic and religious bias. It’s in our lexicon now. It’s even being expanded to sexual “identity”.

I hear more and more Mexicans talking about la raza—to build up their pride. Some people don’t look at it as racism, but when you say ‘la raza,’ you are saying an anti-gringo thing, and it won’t stop there.

In my mind he should recuse himself. Resignation isn't enough after tacitly supporting the boycott by his membership. I don't know the legal basis' for recusal. Since Trump's lawyers haven't filed a request, I can only assume the boycott call/membership isn't enough. But it sure stinks on it's face.
