Hugh Hewitt: GOP Should Change Convention Rules to Dump Trump
Breitbart.com ^ | Alex Swoyer

Posted on 06/08/2016 8:08:41 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

Conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt suggests the Republican Party should change the rules ahead of the GOP National Convention so presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump can be replaced.

“It’s like ignoring stage-four cancer. You can’t do it, you gotta go attack it,” Hewitt says. “And right now the Republican Party is facing — the plane is headed towards the mountain after the last 72 hours.”

“I wanna support the nominee of the party, but I think the party ought to change the nominee. Because we’re going to get killed with this nominee,” he added.

I don’t think people understand how important this election is: Donald Trump represents the absolute DEATH of Political Correctness.....If he wins, PC is done for, but if they manage to beat the ONE GUY with the stones to fight, civilization is lost.

“Hugh Hewitt is an idiot, he’s so far off the reservation at this point he may pass Glenn Beck heading for the cliff.”

Good point. Hewitt has proved himself to be a nutty as Beck.

I held my nose and voted for Romney and McCain because while I did not support either (and I particularly loathed McCain), they were clearly FAR, FAR SUPERIOR to the alternative of Obama.

Apparently this is a one-way street. Fine for peon voters like me, but not for Beltway Intellectuals and Party Elites like Hewitt and Bill Kristol.

Ace of spades was talking this up as well. The GOP masters are floating a trial baloon. If it happens then Hillary will win.

The middling lower elites who run the GOP can’t stand the idea of running a “racist” canidate. Trump is probably the least racist candidate in deed and action whos ever run, but racism is mostly about words not deeds to these jackasses.

From my perspective the left has already created a very racist system targeting whites and if we can’t have the American nationalism of Trump then I and a lot of other whites are about to get very tribal about the situation.

We ether get Trump now or we get civil war and division very shortly.

Hugh Hewitt can go jump in a lake. His predictions are hardly infallible when you consider that he said that there was no way Trump would get to 1237 delegates before the convention. Trump now has 1536 delegates (almost 300 over!)

Consider that even after this media-manufactured judge ‘controversy’, Trump got huge majorities of the vote in 5 states (75% in CA). The Republican voters want Trump, plain and simple.

Yes, I agree.

I will say that McCain was someone I could never vote for. He’s a particularly devious man.

Note that this prick was advocating arming the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda operatives. He wanted them funded too.

The guy is pure evil in my estimation. He has no morals.

Ryan green lighted all this nonsense. I imagine there will be some movement to embarrass Trump at the convention. This is Goldwatering plain and simple. The tantruming never Trumpers prefer Hillary and her SCOTUS picks to Trump. How principled and conservative of them.

As a Trump support I simply see no reason to ever vote GOP again after seeing them enable and campaign for the Butcher of Benghazi. The corportist and patriot wings of the GOP will never reconcile after this. RIP GOP.

Such a move would destroy the Republican Party.

One can only pray and hope. Trump is running as a 3rd party from within the GOPee.

Why the hell doesn’t Trump get off his butt, denounce Ryan and back Paul Nehlin?

_____________________________________________________________

...because his surrogate, Sarah Palin, is doing exactly that right now. It’s having an effect. Ryan is getting desperate and lashing back at Trump because of the Palin (Trump) support of Nehlin.

I think that Ryan is toast and he knows it with nothing else to lose.......his actions re: Trump are traitorous by virtue of aiding rhe crooked Hillary and her goal of destroying America while enriching herself and her crime family.

OK, I read the article.

Did you? Where’s the ‘corrupt’ part?

I imagine Rush has a lot of dinners with people that he doesn’t blab about. That’s probably how he picks up on what’s really going on.

When ask, he said they tried to persuade him to give his support to amnesty. This to the guy that coined the nickname “Lindsey Grahamnesty”.

He said he listened politely and was civil, but wasn’t convinced.

So where’s the problem with what Rush did?

Basically what you’re saying is that you believe a NYT hit piece.

Yes I read the article. And it stinks to high heaven. Why not say that your were wined and dined and respond to it right after it happened? Why even go at all? Why wait until it is brought to light and scramble for a explanation? And why have dinner with Graham and Schumer? I wouldn’t be able to keep my dinner down sitting at the same table.

“Trump has all the right enemies. You have to admit that.”

It’s the Hewitt-Medved test.

You forgot to include Beck and Levin...
