Ohio Gov. John Kasich tweeted Monday morning that presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump should apologize to U.S. District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel, the judge presiding over a Trump University lawsuit.
"Attacking judges based on their race &/or religion is another tactic that divides our country. More importantly, it is flat out wrong," Kasich tweeted.
"@RealDonaldTrump should apologize to Judge Curiel & try to unite this country. #TwoPaths," he added.
Trump has said that Curiel could act unfairly in the case because of his Mexican heritage. On Sunday, Trump said "it's possible" that a Muslim judge could also be biased because of Trump's controversial proposal to temporarily ban Muslims from entering the country.
Kasich has not endorsed the presumptive nominee of his party, saying he would need to see a significant change in Trump's tone. Kasich told cleveland.com's Henry Gomez that it's possible he may never endorse Trump.

He attacked the Judge for his allegiance to his nationality, not his race.
Trump has learned to read the writing on the wall. Kasich, obviously not or pandering. He does that a lot. Major RINO / Dem trait.
I didn’t think it was possible for me to loathe Kasich anymore than I already do, then he says this....
Trump is much better when he’s being attacked, it gets him really engaged and passionate. I think, as an example, that his interviews with George StephClinton (whatever his name is) who attacks him vehemently and Trump hits him back, or Jack Tapper, who is another good whipping boy, is much better than a Hannity interview or a “Judge” interview who don’t really press him, who agree with him and lead the questions. He doesn’t really get to knock them back. It’s a good contrast and gets him different audiences I think but my opinion is that the combative ones help Trump

Former attorney general: Trump right to question judges fairness
By Mark Hensch
Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales says Donald Trump is right to challenge the fairness a judge overseeing lawsuits against him.
An independent judiciary is extremely important. But that value is not the only one in play here, Gonzales wrote in a Saturday op-ed for The Washington Post.
Equally important, if not more important from my perspective as a former judge and U.S. attorney general, is a litigants right to a fair trial, he continued.
The protection of that right is a primary reason why our Constitution provides for an independent judiciary. If judges and the trials over which they preside are not perceived as impartial, the public will quickly lose interest in the rule of law upon which our nation is based. Trump on Thursday said U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiels Hispanic ethnicity is an absolute conflict in three civil fraud lawsuits against the billionaire.
He said Curiels Mexican heritage makes him partial because of Trumps calls for a wall along Americas southern border with Mexico.

Does the GOP have anything to offer other than total douchebags?
This will all backfire.
and john should go pee up a rope then climb back into whatever hole he lives in.
Hillary’s running mate has spoken.
Because the MSM has been drawn in as the Directorate of Misinformation for the NWO
I think it’s playing out just the way Trump planned it.
My guess.
It’s not the judges Mexican heritage
Or even his connection to LaRaza
It IS his parents past or current status.
At the time of his birth Mexicans in Indiana were
students from wealthy families.
migrant farm workers
seasonal workers in canneries
Did his parents overstay their visas? Are they still overstaying their visas?
So much for the bogus Kasich GOP unity message from yesterday.
Going forward, all GOPers need to adhere to the old adage “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all!!”
My Wife’s Mother who was born in Mexico City is Caucasian.
She and her Daughters resent anyone using the word “Latina” when describing them.
Since my Wife’s Father is from Oklahoma, I could call her an Okietina and see what happens. #;^)
What people do not understand is there is a Caste System in Mexico, the Whites and the Little Brown People.
The Whites stay put or Emigrate Legally and the Little Brown People come here Illegally for the most part.
Rule No. 1.
Never Apologize
Who is John Kasich, and why should I care what he thinks?
John Kaisch should sit down and shut up. Telling the truth about politically corrupt judges is to be praised.
I think he is looking for a job....
The Judge is La Raza, anti America, especially anti California. That is the reason Trump can distrust him to make an unbiased ruling
The judge is totally biased
It can not be argued that he is not
The La Raza stain is like a cattle brand burned in and can’t be removed
