Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders criticized the Clinton Foundation for accepting donations from foreign governments in an interview aired Sunday, calling it a conflict of interest.
"Do I have a problem when a sitting secretary of State and a foundation run by her husband collects many, many dollars from foreign governments governments which are dictatorships?
"Yeah, I do have a problem with that. Yeah, I do," Sanders said on CNN's "State of the Union."
When host Jake Tapper asked if he thought it was a conflict of interest, Sanders said, "I do."
Sanders and Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton, a former secretary of State and the wife to former President Bill Clinton, are locked in a tight battle ahead of Tuesday's presidential primaries.

No because Bernie’s not a democrat.
“””””Do I have a problem when a sitting secretary of State and a foundation run by her husband collects many, many dollars from foreign governments””””
Many, many dollars? Can’t he pronounce BILLIONS?
Bernie we love ya but as for your socialisms-— not so much.
he he he he he he he he he ..................
TOO LATE, IDIOT!!!!
If it was anyone but Sanders the suck-ups in the press would have squashed the comment.
Better late than never - still. he shouldn’t have waited so long.
"Oops! Bill Clinton Says He ACCIDENTALLY Took $500,000 From Algeria During Key Arms Negotiation With State Department" Oops! Bill Clinton is claiming his foundation accidentally accepted money from foreign governments who were negotiating with his wife while she was Secretary of State a definite no-no.
The Clinton Foundation received $500,000 from Algeria in 2010 while the country was lobbying the State Department for an increase in weapons export authorization.
The International Business Times says that some of those export authorizations were for weapons classified as toxicological agents, including chemical agents [and] biological agents. ? [Critics] said, Oh you got $500,000 from Algeria at very same time they were lobbying the State Department, Clinton said. Those two facts are accurate but if you put them back-to-back they are incredibly misleading. Heres why: I never considered that the Algerians gave me the money.
Huh? Come again?
Clinton said that at the time of the donation, We put out the word that if anyone wanted to send me money I would forward it on quickly to Haiti where it would do most good and would take zero overhead. The sequence of the money and the lobbying, he asserted, was just an accident. To me it was like a pass-through. I didn'tt even think about it.
The compassionate and kindly Clinton did say he does not fault those who raise questions about the donations. I dont blame whoever saw that [Algeria story] reported for asking the question about it, because they would have no way of knowing the context, he said.
As IBTimes has reported, Algeria is one of six countries that donated to the Clinton Foundation and received weapons deals from Hillary Clintons State Department at the same time the department was criticizing its record on human rights. (Excerpt) Read more at downtrend.com ...
Heck.......hat's poor Bill supposed to do. Everybody's throwing money at him...... he cant remember it all?
Bill doesn't even Bill remember that obscure Baptist Church in Cameroon, Africa gave the Clinton Foundation $10 million. Where does a Baptist church in Africa get $10 million to give to the Clintons? And why? ell, Cameroon is the recipient of hundreds of millions of grants from the State Dept....earmarked for every social ill imaginable.
State Dept monies (our tax dollars) were laundered into the church then back into the Clinton Foundation coffers.
And dont forget, Hillarys aide and lawyer-Cheryl (I dont remember) Mills-is buying up and developing land and businesses in Sub-Sahara Africa (includes Cameroon).
Way too little way too late.....
Sorry, Bernie, you missed your easy chances to Bern the Witch!
Bernie is lying. He said he didn't give a damn in one of the debates. This is some of what was in the emails. we went to war against Gaddafi because a lobbyist wanted it and Hillary had to convince Obama to take this course of action.
He was never in it to win it.
With not many hours to go in the entire primary campaign, Bernie finally notices this issue. What a clown......
Bernie is nailing Hillary the way Romney should have nailed Obama back in 2012.
Here is a good, concise summary of how the Clinton Foundation works as a tax free international money laundering scheme.
It may eventually prove to be the largest political criminal enterprise in U.S. history.
This is a textbook case on how you hide foreign money sent to you and re-package it, to be used for your own purposes. All tax free. Heres how it works:
1. You create a separate foreign charity. In this case one in Canada.
2. Foreign oligarchs & governments, then donate to this Canadian charity. In this case, over 1,000 did contributing mega millions. I am sure they did this out of the goodness of their hearts, and expected nothing in return. (Imagine Putins buddies waking up one morning and just deciding to send un-told millions to a Canadian charity).
3. The Canadian charity then bundles these separate donations & makes a massive donation the Clinton Foundation.
4. The Clinton Foundation, and the cooperating Canadian charity claim Canadian law prohibits, the identification of individual donors.
5. The Clinton Foundation, then spends some of this money, for legitimate good works programs. Un-fortunately, experts believe this is on the order of 10%. Much of the balance goes to enrich the Clintons, pay salaries to un-told numbers of hangers on, & fund lavish travel, etc. Again virtually all tax free, which means you & I are subsidizing it.
6. The Clinton Foundation with access to the worlds best accountants, somehow fails to report much of this on their tax filings. They discover these clerical errors and begin the process of re-filing 5 years of tax returns.
7. Net result foreign money, much of it from other countries, goes into the Clintons pockets tax free & untraceable back to the original donor. This is the textbook definition of money laundering.
Oh, by the way, the Canadian charity includes, as a principal one Frank Giustra. Google him. He is the guy who was central to the formation of Uranium One, Canadian company that somehow acquired massive U.S. uranium interests & then sold them to an organization controlled by Russia.
This transaction required U.S. State Department approval, and guess who was Secretary of State when the approval was granted?"

Guistra is full of crap.
This is unbelievable.
Read this crooked bastards statement below.
What good work does the "Clinton Foundation " do anyway?
NOTHING
An article published in the New York Times (Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation Amid Russian Uranium Deal April 23, 2015) suggests that my contributions to the Clinton Foundation were made to further my business interests.
This is not true! I support the work of the Clinton Foundation because I believe in the Clinton Foundations mission and effectiveness. The world is a better place because of it. As a philanthropist, I am extremely proud of the significant work we do to help thousands of people all over the world. We are truly changing lives.
I would like to take this opportunity to explain and clarify some of the questions that have been raised.
Some media outlets have asked us why we have not publicly disclosed the donors that have contributed to the Canadian charity the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership (Canada). The Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership (Canada)s Board has followed Canadian laws and Canadian charitable best practices where donors have a right and an expectation of privacy which we have respected as a Canadian charity. We will not share or publicly disclose our donors information unless we received prior written consent.
Journalists have challenged this and have claimed we do not need to provide donors the right to privacy. Therefore, we have sought advice from our Canadian legal counsel and received a legal opinion which supports our statement, as per Canadian laws and Canadian charitable best practices, that donors have a right and an expectation of privacy.
In addition, we have also sought independent legal advice from a leading practitioner in Canadian charity law and expect a second legal opinion to be forthcoming in the following days and which will be posted on the FAQs page of our web-site. Even though there is no formal requirement to disclose our donors, in light of these inquires, we are reaching out to our major donors requesting consent to publicly recognize their contribution.
Great!
Can’t wait until she is nominated and Trump can really go after her!
