Fantastic 30 min. video narrated by Ronald Reagan about GS Patton, I mean DJ Trump...LOL. It's really worth a watch. The parallels between GSP and DJT have always intrigued me.....
Right now I’m watching it and what I find interesting is they both have similar facial features to me. LOL Going to finish this very interesting.

Agreed...I first saw this years ago, and even then, it occurred to me that Patton and Trump had a few common gestures and expressions.
DJT was born around 6 months after GSP’s death. Patton was a believer in reincarnation.. so ummmmm
I have 3 books on Patton. One is his diary, another is by one of his officer friends who like Patton, enjoyed shooting. The third one was be Ladislos Farago which is the book the movie was made from.
Patton came from a line of soldiers. Both his grandfathers were Confederate Generals, tho some think one was just a colonel. He grew up in California listening to Civil war stories at the feet of the Grey Ghost, John Singleton Mosby. Mosby was the most successful partisan Ranger of the war. We would probably call him a guerilla fighter.
Patton trained at West Point and VMI. He was probably the one man best prepared to lead men in was with the possible exception of McArthur.
Man, I love Patton. Too bad the political elites killed him.
His duty station was to be Hawaii. He bought a sailboat, taught himself how to sail and navigate by the stars, while he and his family sailed to Hawaii.

Thank you for that link. I thoroughly enjoyed watching that.

A fascinating man.
He had an overabundance of everything.
Anger. Fear. Violence. Sensitivity. Beauty. Intelligence. Stupidity. Logic. Stubbornness. Religiosity. Arrogance. Humility. Love. Hate. Superstition. Toughness. Tenderness. Loyalty. Patriotism. Eloquence. Refinement. Vulgarity. Knowledge. Ignorance.
Most of us have an excess of a few of these things. He had a surplus of all of them.
I have often liked to ponder “If you could spend a day with one historical figure, who would it be?” and Patton has always been near the top for me. A deeply flawed man in many ways, but so accomplished and solid in others.
Thank you very much for this post.
According to the intrepid German panzer leader, F.W. Mellenthin, Patton was one who could, “think along big lines”.
He was the opposite of a bureaucrat.
Thank you for posting this.
I worked for Congressman Lawrence Patton McDonald and his middle name came from Patton. McDonald was killed by the Soviets when his 747 flight KAL 007 was shot down in September of 1983.
Today one of my sons is named Lawrence McDonald after the Congressman. Both McDonald and Patton were very outspoken and were brave enough to tell the truth.
“DJT was born around 6 months after GSPs death. Patton was a believer in reincarnation.. so ummmmm”
Indeed.
Deeply flawed?
