Clinton launching national security case against Trump in California speech
Washington Post ^ | June 1, 2016 | Anne Gearan

Retired Army Col. Peter Mansoor plans to vote for Hillary Clinton for president this year, but not because the longtime Republican and former top aide to then-Gen. David Petraeus has had a political conversion. He just thinks Republican Donald Trump is too dangerous to be president.

“It will be the first Democratic presidential candidate I’ve voted for in my adult life,” said Mansoor, a professor of military history at Ohio State University.

Clinton’s campaign hopes that there are many more national-security-minded Republicans and independents who would vote for her, even grudgingly, rather than see Trump win the White House.

Hillary is a fine one to expect people to vote for her because they care about national security. She broke important security rules, truly endangering national security by putting highly classified information in unclassified emails. Other people go to jail for that.

Exactly!

It’s unbelievable. Apparently this is like a “wag the dog” maneuver.

And we are supposed to believe that Hillary is clearly superior in the area of national security and foreign policy????

She was part of the decisions made to overthrow Qaddafi and turn Libya into an Al Qaeda and ISIS friendly state. Ditto with overthrowing Mubarak in Egypt.

She failed with the proverbial 3 a.m. phone call during the Benghazi crisis.

What foreign policy / national security successes can Hillary point to, to make the national security case against Trump????

Petraeus XO, angling for a job. Untrustworthy SOB if you ask me. He is the type that will turn on US citizens.

Hillary is an interventionist. Her legacy has been the ME, Libya in particular. She supported no-fly zones in Syria to confront the Russians. Hillary is far more dangerous. She lacks judgment.

Hillary is suddenly interested in American national security?! After the clintons sold our icbm technology to communist China and after Hillary helped Obama disarm USA while enabling Iran’s islamonazis get nuclear bombs and icbm’s to drop them on us? Gimme a break!

" He just thinks Republican Donald Trump is too dangerous to be president. "

If he expects that to be a problem then put the clintons on trial for treason to make a good example of them. It might teach Trump and all that follow a valuable lesson.

I also like the WaPo’s phrasing:

“national security case”

Just like Hillary’s!

He’s an idiot. If he knows what she is and would vote for that, he’s an idiot. If he doesn’t know what she is and would vote for that over Trump, he’s an idiot.

When I was a kid I thought grown ups were smart and had it all together. Now, I’m an adult and have been for a long time...and I know most adults don’t know anything more than they did when they were 5 years old. Depressing!

After relinquishing command, Colonel Mansoor resided at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York as a senior military fellow.

Mansoor is a fool, tell you what Colonel, why don’t you come back in the service if she wins and do some consulate security in the Middle East? Just don’t try calling her at 3 AM...or 3 PM...for some support. Take care of yourself she’s thinking wtf good are you anyway.
