The Justice Department fired back at the Texas judge who ordered its attorneys to undertake ethics classes after finding they misled the court in a high-profile challenge to President Obamas deportation amnesty saying the order was beyond the judges authority and would cost millions to implement.
In a motion filed Tuesday asking for a stay of the order, in which U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen said DOJ attorneys were intentionally deceptive, government attorneys outlined their objections to both the training requirements and his requirement that by June 10 the Department of Homeland Security turn over identifying information for 50,000 immigrants who entered the United States illegally and are now participants in a government program that shields them from deportation.
The sanctions ordered by the Court far exceed the bounds of appropriate remedies for what this Court concluded were intentional misrepresentations, a conclusion that was reached without proper procedural protections and that lacks sufficient evidentiary support, DOJ attorneys wrote their motion for the stay.

The Federal government it too big...not too big to fail...sic ‘em Texas!!!
Jail them for contempt.
The depot of INjustice needs arrested...all of the criminal bums.
Bump!
You mean the “Department of Just Us.”
I don’t even think they have the power to issue a stay on this matter.
And I was disappointed, thinking Judge Hanen had gone easy on them. I am sure there are far stiffer penalties that can be meted.
Each and every one of these attorneys and everyone up the line of command, for instance, should be subjected to the bar’s disciplinary remedies, including possible suspension or, preferably, disbarment.
These attorneys go into court fully funded by the U.S. taxpayer, with the strength and power of the U.S. government behind them. They should be held to a higher standard, with proportionate punishment.
Criminals all.
The executive branch in the hands of liberals likes to use the courts as a tool to impose their agenda on the rest of us without so much as a vote or hearing being held. But when the courts give them the slightest wrap on the knuckles they cry to high hell and refuse to comply.
The judge did not act in a lawyerly manner and drag it out for ever and ever.
The DOJ should be held in contempt for objecting
The department has no qualms about spending millions for sensitivity training or mandatory training for all on such BS as “subtle sexual harassment,” “terrorism” - which is limited to only those groups the SPLC considers dangerous; right wing groups, in other words.
I couldn’t agree more.
Hanen’s order
Ethics? We don’t need no stinkin’ ethics!
I like it
Why would the money come from th DOJ buget?
Wouldnt the lawyers have to pay it themselves out of their pocket?
I know, I’ve read it. As detailed there’s no way to consider it to be anything than the deliberate attempt to deceive the court.
The GOP sold it’s soul long ago. I foresee no change in the current system. Trump could possible throw a monkey wrench into the little play house the Democrat/Republican Crime Families have built. Whether he will or not remains to be seen. If he gets to be a problem there is not a doubt in my mind either one of them will attempt to take him out and I don’t mean out of politics. The Democrat/Republicans are capable of anything and if it serves the need of the monster bureaucracy you can count in it happening.
Other than a revolt by the states or the people I don’t see these crime families begin reined in and more than likely we will embrace empire and all the while proclaiming we are republic and the people have a voice. I foresee fascism on a grand scale in the next 25 yrs. in the former USA.
“I don’t think ethics classes will work for these liars.
Disbarment would be a better approach. Perhaps hefty fines as well.”
Note to President-elect Trump: Start disbarment proceedings in mid-January of next year. Pay for the legal hassle from your “housecleaning budget!”
If the judge had ordered more “diversity” training to cover sensitivity to some new form of sexual depravity, they would have committed billions to it without batting an eye.
