"I'm 100 percent," Santorum said Tuesday during an interview on Fox News's "On The Record," when asked if he was supporting or endorsing Trump. "That's endorse."
Santorum, who backed Marco Rubio after dropping out of the race himself in February, said he spoke with Trump more than a week ago and he said the businessman asked for his support.
The former Senator indicated a top reason for endorsing Trump is the vacant Supreme Court seat. Santorum said he made a couple suggestions for Trump's list of potential nominees .
"The most important issue is preserving the Constitution of this country and a liberal Supreme Court will destroy it," Santorum said.
"I think Americans maybe just want a little unvarnished [candidate]. I can't say that I'm crazy about it," Santorum said in explaining Trump's support throughout the GOP primaries.
Santorum conceded that the 2016 race, in his view, is more about personalities than policy.
"I think the American public has made up their mind about Hillary Clinton. I think Donald Trump still has an opportunity to cast the right lot and win this election," Santorum said.

That’s nice. A little late, I guess and nobody will care. I’ve always liked Santorum although I know some have had issues with him.
Time for Rubio and Cruz to step up and endorse. Santorum did the right thing.

Another step in the right direction. Santorum had his opportunity in 2012, but he couldn’t bust open the party elite. Trump has that mandate now, but it has to be done this time, or it will never be done short of an armed revolution—and Trump is preferable to armed revolution.
But, but... then Trump will be considered "GOPe", as the Rubio/Cruz "GOPe" associates with Trump. /sar

We had the whole Commonwealth there for him, but Philly, Harrisburg and Pittsburg wiped us out...big city dems...

so santorum tells Trump a couple names and then trump says he is adding some to his list.

Rubio I don’t know about but he may endorse before the convention. I think Cruz
will endorse at the convention before Trumps acceptance speech. Cruz gets his
biggest bang by doing it at the convetion. JMO.
