Donald Trump has fired his first shots of the general election campaign. Predictably, they have nothing to do with anything that matters. In a new video released on Instagram, Trump features audio interviews with women whove accused Bill Clinton of sexual assault. Against the backdrop of shadowy audio clips, the accompanying text asks if Hillary Clinton is really protecting women.
We hear the voices of Monica Lewinsky, Kathleen Wiley, and a clip from a 1999 Dateline interview with Juanita Broaddrick. Near the end, as the sound of Hillary Clintons cackle fades, the words Here we go again flash on the screen.
Im no great defender of Bill Clinton. He was a competent president and did a lot of things well, but hes also received a pass from Democrats on a number of fronts. The triangulating, the serial lying, the capitulations to white Southerners it was all transparent and nauseating. But heres the thing: Bill Clinton isnt running for president, and what he did with his penis 30 years ago is irrelevant.

If Hillary can make this election about women, Trump can make the election about women who should not stand by their man; and countries who line their pockets while abusing women. I think the American electorate can understand the distinction.
“Dont worry Salon, Mr. Trump is just getting warmed up”
_____________
No, I think Mr. Trump, upon hearing of this advice from Salon, will drop all attacks on Bill Clinton.
Eh? No? Seriously, what drives these maroons to give such ridiculous advice? To the press? All of which is what? In DT’s camp?
I’m with you. The best is yet to come. Because these dopes telegraph everything.
The hatred is big with this one ...
Waaaaahh! Mommy, make the bad man stop denigrating the POS that Hillary hangs her campaign on - if he keeps it up h’es gonna beat the Clintons......
In the Clintons own words: “Two for the price of one!”
what he did with his penis 30 years ago is irrelevant.
What she did about it is, especially since she is attempting to make the War On Women an accusation of misogyny against her opposition. Trump has every right, and morally every obligation, not to let her get away with that blatant hypocrisy that up to now she has taken for granted.
Yes, the author is squealing about a failed attempt to frame the issue and is attempting to do some framing himself. It's all about that rascal Bill, you see, and Bill is in the past. Sorry, son, that dawg won't hunt. And the rest of the article is filled with the now-obligatory "Trump is a bully" garbage that is entirely irrelevant to the question of media framing anyway. The author is doing propaganda, he knows he's doing propaganda, and he's sniveling because it isn't working, and that is all there is to this article.
Dear Sean:
Too late.

Is what Bill Cosby did with his penis 30 years ago irrelevant? Because he’s going to trial now.
I’m sure Trump will back off now that Salon has told him so...
ever get the feeling the media has let their past ability to push around Republicans go to their head? They are not happy one bit about this Trump fella... no sir... if he keeps it up, they might start investigating his past!
Rape is never irrelevant.
People who dismiss it aren’t either.
Exactly, and Hillary is running on the “two fer” meme.
A rapist in the white house IS fair game.
You mean is ISN’T about Billy Boy back in the WH?
Actually it's quite relevant. Her actions and enabling during this time speaks volumes about her lack of character and intense need for power at any cost. If anything, it's Hillary who is dangerous, not Donald.
That's what I thought, until this morning, when I spent a couple of hours rereading William Safire’s NYTimes columns about Vince Foster's suicide. Yes, Foster did commit suicide, and yes, Foster was depressed. But within a couple of years of Foster's death, it had come out that Foster had been worried to death about Travelgate and Whitewater, and that immediately after Foster's death, HRC’s staff went into Foster's office to remove Whitewater files. Foster's suicide is what led to the appointment of Ken Starr, which led to Bill Clinton's lying under oath, and to HRC’s claiming 58 times that she didn't recall various details about Whitewater. Safire, who died in 2009, was about as faraway from the National Enquirer as you could get. Trump is a genius to be bringing up Vince Foster's suicide because the media, in the course of dismissing conspiracy theories about Foster's death, will inadvertently remind/educate the voting populace about Travelgate, Whitewater, etc, etc,
Bill Clinton was and is nothing but a horn dog. We all know and understand that. BUT what’s immeasurably worse is the way Hillary Clinton led the White House team that sought to destroy the women who came forward truthfully to speak of her husband’s affairs and/or assaults. Then she has the audacity to put herself out to the public as a feminist icon who knows that all women’s voices need to be heard. It’s just mind-boggling. And today’s younger generation, male and female need to know about it.

The dumb shill at Salon (one of many) brings it back up, and that's going to help? What a maroon. Or, maybe, he's working for the Bern'.
“Foster did commit suicide”
Why would you think that? And how did he manage to dump his own body in the park? Because that is not where he was killed.
