Ted Cruz isn’t giving up.
While Donald Trump dispatches three advisers to Texas’s convention in Dallas this week and makes a pitch for party unity, his team will be running up against a Cruz operation that is still maneuvering to stuff the state’s delegation with allies the senator could call on to snub the presumptive nominee.
“We have a busy weekend planned,” said a source familiar with the Cruz campaign’s plans.
Cruz is scheduled to deliver an address at the Texas convention after a week of hinting he could jump back into the presidential contest and urging activists to thwart the New Yorker’s takeover of the GOP’s policy platform. And despite dropping out of the race more than a week ago, the vanquished presidential contender has deployed at least one paid adviser to the Texas Republican convention – Tyler Norris, his state director. (Trump has three advisers: state director Joshua Jones, deputy director Eric Mahroum and Houston-area director Kayla Hensley.)

On what planet have you been living? Trump has a lifetime full of generosity towards others. The list is extremely long and there are many names of people who have stepped forward and told their stories that go back a very long time. Several years ago he donated a huge amount to the Veterans of New York for their parade and raised thousands more for them. In all the newspapers the thanks of the Vets that there would not have been a parade without Donald Trump. He paid off the mortgage of a couple having hard times because his car broke down and they gave him a lift. A farmers land was going to be auctioned because he couldn’t pay the mortgagee. He committed suicide. Trump stepped in and the widow retained the farm. A seriously ill girl needed to fly to New York for treatment, but no commercial carrier woukld fly her because of the medical equipment necessary for her transport. Trump sent his plane to California to fly her to New York. A skating rink in New York was completed by Trump in a few months, under budget and ahead of schedule after 6 years of wasted millions by the city. On and on the stories go. Never say he hasn’t done anything for anyone but his family. That is an outright falsehood.

I hope when Ted’s primary comes up, Trump campaigns for his opponent, and instructs the RNC to throw money at whomever that may be.

I've been on the TRUMP TRAIN since last summer and am a member in good standing of the FR TRUMP FAMILY FRIENDS. I don;y recall seeing YOU on the RALLY threads.
Twice, Trump, out of his own pocket, donated money to the NYC Veterans' Day Parade, when the city was short of funds; the second time he PAID FOR THE WHOLE PARADE, since it was going to be called off.
After many years of the city doing nothing but fouling up the repair of the Wollman Ice Skating Rink, Trump took over and in less than a year, had the whole thing batter than new...after the city had wasted a very great sum of money and a decade with less than nothing to show for it!
He has donated to and raised money for many different Vet organizations!
He has done many, many such things, but YOU don't know anything at all about him and certainly not his good works.
What has Cruz ever done? He and his wife have an income of about 1 million a year and they give NOTHING to their church and hardly anything at ll to charity.
If all you can do is trash Trump, ignore JR's posts, then you need to go!
The only person he's really hurting with all of this is himself. He won't be able to walk this behavior back.
I have more respect for Gore than this whiny pos - and I was an early supporter. Gore even won the popular vote. Cruz has won nothing.
Cruz hasn’t got it figured out yet that people just do not want him. Living up to the title of “Lyin Ted” did him in.
Politico is stirring the pot and creating trouble where there is none. Trump is the nominee - if his health holds up, as is likely to happen, and if the delegates don't do something crazy with the rules. The difference between Cruz-selected Trump delegates and establishment Trump delegates is that, while both groups will vote Trump, the Cruz delegates are better screened and will be loyal to the outsiders in setting the rules. Trump's people don't have the staff or the background information to do the job as well (for Trump!) as the Cruz people.
Trump supporters need to stop freaking out over ever news story that mentions Cruz. Don't forget that (1) journalists hate Cruz almost as much as they hate Trump, and (2) not everything Cruz does is malicious or harmful, although it will be presented that way. If something happens to Trump, Cruz will use the delegates he selected to try to stop Kasich/Jeb/Rubio and take the nomination. Otherwise, these Cruz picks are going to help keep the establishment from changing the rules in a way that would stop Trump.
Think about it - my explanation is the only one in which picking delegates makes sense for Cruz (that and setting the platform, which is mostly symbolic). Stealing the nomination from a healthy Donald Trump would doom the party. Cruz knows that, although the establishment thinks otherwise.
Apparently, Cruz still has some Bushie and Warren Buffett debts to pay before he collects his Golden Sacks.
Yes, and besides the charitable acts, he is to be praised for employing thousands of people through his Trump organization.

It is starting to look like we dodged a bullet when Trump decided now is the time........only 94 delegates to go and 400 or so open (before others get released).....
