On May 9 — less than two years since universal background checks were hoisted onto the backs of law-abiding citizens in Washington state — Gabby Giffords was in the state campaigning for special protective orders that will allow firearm confiscation.
The orders — “Extreme Risk Protection Orders” — would be similar to California’s Gun Violence Restraining Orders, inasmuch as they would allow “family or household members” to petition a judge to order the temporary confiscation of firearms from another family member or person living in the household.

Maybe she did get shot, but I fail to believe it. It is funny that every 6 months or so, we have mass shootings ever since Obama has been president. They were a lot more uncommon before then.
This already happens in a lot of states. If you are accused of domestic abuse—bang...no more guns for you pal.

An organized attempt to confiscate weapons from law-abiding Americans might do less damage than the current plan to slowly erode our rights. If they are ready for the consequences, I’m okay with them trying. Of course, I am assuming that no decent person would participate, so the losses won’t hurt America.
What this woman denies is that the law enforcement head she supports failed to haul that perp in for 72 hour evaluation after they had been called on that loon several times.
Thats why the police chief got out and screemed like bloody murder after this happened. He was culpable and should have been sued for it.

We sure have. And Gabby Giffords was shot. The two are not mutually exclusive. The lie in Giffords case was that her shooter was a right-winger. He wasn’t. She was really shot, however. Others were shot too - and killed. It happened.

No, actually there are no “large holes” that don’t show up in many other shootings or crimes. Some things are never fully explained. That doesn’t mean the shootings didn’t happen.
I know there are kooks out there who say there was no mass shooting of children in Sandy Hook/Newtown - but there was a mass shooting. It happened. I know there are kooks out there who think those poor people who got their limbs blown off in the Boston marathon bombing were “amputee actors” (Dear God, how stupid can people be? The number of violent criminals seems to be increasing too. The number of gang related and drug related mass shootings seems to be going up as well.
