Speaking at the Howard University graduation ceremony in Washington, D.C., President Obama told the graduates of the historically black college to "be confident in your heritage. Be confident in your blackness."
Obama also criticized people who are "successful and don’t realize they've been lucky."

Yep, and of course he’s undercutting the classical American belief that a society of free people can also be a just society — one that generally rewards the virtues like hard work and tenacity. He wants people to see free enterprise as capricious and government as the only real source of justice.

People who have been successful and don't realize they've been lucky. Not luck, but blessings from God on high cause me to be successful. I am wise enough and grateful enough to know to thank Him.

Well, Beck’s Heck!
I’m a military and Cold War vet. Why should I say I am ‘lucky’? I did my job as I was trained to do, and left the rest up to things and beliefs beyond myself.
I’m a retired NASA-certified rocket scientist. There ain’t no such thing as luck there, but a lot of sweat, study, work, re-work, and dedication, that came from within myself.
Lastly, anybody that identifies themselves as a “hyphenated American” IS THE RACIST!!
