Washington (CNN) Sarah Palin will work to defeat House Speaker Paul Ryan by backing his primary opponent in Wisconsin, the former Alaska governor told CNN's Jake Tapper.
Palin said in an interview that airs Sunday on "State of the Union" that her decision was sparked by Ryan's bombshell announcement to Tapper last week that he wasn't yet ready to support Donald Trump, the Republican presumptive nominee. Palin endorsed Trump back in January.
"I think Paul Ryan is soon to be 'Cantored,' as in Eric Cantor," Palin said, referring to the former Republican House majority leader who was ousted in a shocking upset in 2014 when challenger Dave Brat ran to his right in a Virginia primary.

Love it! Thats great!
watch THE CLIP IN POST #76....
Sarah backed away when asked about McCain saying she didn’t keep up with Ar. politics and that McCain’s future would depend on the Ar. people. She essentially washed her hands of him completely.
Unfortunatly Ryan, for now, is the highest ranking Republican in the nation. Romney’s reign as the leader of the Republican party ended when Trump was recognized as the presumptive nominee.
It’s just all hen scratching to me! Lying Ryan will be Cantorized late this summer, and Romney was never really the Republican leader as most of us just held our noses for him while quite a few others sat on their hands in 2012. Losers aren’t leaders, and that pair has the stench of LOSER all over them!
He sounds more like a spoiled brat.
Sarah will throw him directly under the oncoming bus and rightly so.
Good Sarah!
Nehlen does look like a winner. But I’d support Karl Marx against a treacherous snake like Ryan.
Looks to me as though the Trump operation is saying one thing (hope Ryan comes around, happy to work with him, etc.), and doing another. Palin was very harsh on Ryan.
If Cantor getting Cantored put some fear on the table, well, I'll just say it may be time to buy stock in nitroglycerine capsules (heart attack remedy!)
Party insiders nearly always back the incumbent. In the Walker/Ryan combination, I think the two share about the same vision for the party and the country, so there is no "holding of Walker's nose" when he supports Ryan.
That said, I have not looked for or seen any official endorsement by Walker.
Yes Ryan needs to go.
Just to amplify answers already given, WI has two primaries. One is presidential nominees only, the other is for all the other offices.
I don't want them to "publicly line up" if their heart isn't in it. Better that those opposed to a nationalist agenda and direction for the country say so. Some of them will be re-elected, no problem. But this "hide the ball" crap is a fundamental problem.
Why have I seen you put out that exact same text on another thread?
Seriously, assume Ryan pulls out all the stops against Trump. Like Romney did. And this hurts Trump? Maybe, but I'll bet Trump welcomes the conflict.
Ryan has publicly exposed himself as a pissant, of about the same stature as Lindsey Graham.
Have you ever been in the immediate area when the Big Boss is getting ready to sh**can some upper level manager? Some of the talk coming out of the BB's office would sound like he was going to adopt somebody until the poor schmuck walked into that Last Meeting....
If I were in Ryan's position right now, I'd be checking the resume, have calls in to everybody in my Network and have a mover scheduled.
If they go down it is nobody’s fault but they’re own!!! They will certainly try to blame Trump, but they would do better to look in the mirror.
LOL. "What's really going on" is usually pretty clear to "those in the know." But the official announcement out of the BB office is usually positive, often containing praise and confidence that the upper level manager is on a path to greener pastures. (Just not our pastures)
Ryan has a political fight on his hands, and win or lose, I'm sure there are many waiting jobs for him. A tiny fraction of the globalists is in elected office.
It couldn’t happen to a nicer Paul Rhino.
Set out on that little twerp Ryan!
