Ohio Gov. John Kasich plans to suspend his run to be the GOP presidential nominee, a senior campaign advisor told NBC News on Wednesday.
He had previously cancelled a planned event in order to make a Wednesday night statement in Ohio.
Kasich was left the only man standing against Donald Trump in the Republican presidential primary race after Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas suspended his run on Tuesday night.

I think Cruz dropped out because the donor money dried up. Kasich had no choice. With only winning one state and Cruz dropping out, He would look like a fool staying in. And being schlonged in the remaining states.

THREE YEARS LATER. When it looked like it was finally going to hurt him in his then attempts to run for President. Yeah, no, he only regretted that it was being used against him, not that he did it.
It will be a long, long time before I forgive John Kasich.

Besides, I'll forgive Newt that one stupid moment on the sofa with Pelosi (gosh that sounds bad, no matter how you interpret it!) and choose instead to credit him with the contract with America and his heroic work in stymieing Bill Clinton's agenda so much that people now think he was a good President.
Doesn’t matter. I won’t vote for an ineligible candidate. To do so would help subvert our Constitution and the rule-of-law. Their are a couple hundred million natural born Citizens Trump can choose from.
