The 5 people most likely to be Donald Trump’s vice president
Washington Post ^ | 4/29 | Chris Cilliza

Which begs the question: Who is he going to pick as his vice presidential nominee?

The short answer: No one knows. Trump relishes being unpredictable so trying to game out how this most unconventional of politicians will make his mind up is a bit of a guessing game. Add to that the fact that Trump's inner circle remains, largely, devoid of establishment types and you quickly get into a situation where the people talking don't know much and the people who do know aren't talking.

“I think Libertarians would actually flock to the ticket if Rand was on it.”

Yes, so do I.

I’d like to see Condi Rice as VP, Newt Gingrich as his Chief of Staff and Jim Webb as Sec of Defense

Stuff would get done!

I’m w/ you on Susanna M. I have had her in my sights for about 8 months. My wife disagreed back then, and ever after, until now.
Her reason? “But nobody’s talking about her except you.”
I’ve heard her talked about 3 times in as many days. I think she presents a great prospect. Hope others see it as I do.

Marsha Blackburn is it.
R-TENNESSEE
She’s a woman. His pick MUST be a woman.
Trump said it would be a politician. She’s a good one.
Strongly conservative
Rising star, considered running for president
Already said she would accept job as Trump VP if asked.
Good speaker, southern accent won’t hurt.
Attractive seasoned woman at 63
Religion: Christian (Presbyterian) just like Donald.

She scored 100% on American Conservative Union’s 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009 Ratings of Congress.

According to her campaign website, National Journal described her as a “freshman to watch” and a “top House conservative” in 2003 and 2004,

Americans for Tax Reform called her a “taxpayer hero” in 2003

National Right to Life praised her for supporting the Medicare Prescription Drug and Modernization Act

She is a staunch opponent of Net neutrality in the United States and municipal broadband initiatives.

On February 16, 2014, Blackburn appeared on NBC’s Meet The Press as a guest in a climate change segment alongside Bill Nye. She reiterated a belief that scientists do not sufficiently understand the climate to make long term predictions, and argued that a cost/benefit analysis did not support taking any action against further carbon emission increases.

In 2015, Blackburn shared her belief that the world has been cooling instead of warming. She stated, “I think we’ve cooled almost 1 degree (F).

Blackburn has also rejected the theory of evolution

Tennessee’s 7th congressional district Blackburn’s winning percentages

2002 71%
2004 100%
2006 66%
2008 69%
2010 72%
2012 71%

Joni Ernst: “B+” Even most folks who like Trump acknowledge he may have trouble getting the woman vote. Joni would be a great asset in that respect. She is, on the other hand, a first term senator.

She's also a Veteran with combat experience. I hope she's on his short list.

But, Marsha Blackburn would work for me too.

Rubio or Scott. ( he needs Florida)

Chris will die before Trump.

Kasich and Ernst are non-value added.

I don't want him, but Kasich's the one on this list that is most possible.

Ohio. Peace with the GOPe.

I don't like it one bit, but there's no doubt Kasich's on the short list.

Remember, Trump has to win, he wants to win, and we want him to win.

It doesn't mean much to us, veeps rarely do anything, and they don't have much pull in the scheme of things, it's simply symbolic.

It's either Kasich, or a total wild card none of us know anything about.

Well as long as Trump doesn't pick the accursed Jeb Bush for his VP (HIGHLY unlikely in my view), we all remember what happened the LAST time a Bush was Vice President ...

... the President got shot less than 60 days into his first term.

(just sayin' ....)

Jeb brings nothing.

Trump doesn't do baggage. Only a deal that brings him something.

Read the book.

No freaking way. Trump said he wants someone with deecee experience, who shares his vision, who could be pres.

Katsick fails on all three. He’s a raving nutcase leftistpuke and would not only bring nothing, he’d cause some people - a lot - to think ....WTF????????????? Do you realize that Katsick said he’d issue amnesty for ALL illegals in the first 100 days of his presidency?

Kasich has DC experience. He knows how congress works.

I never said he shared his vision, actually said I don’t like the guy.

Ohio. Gope acceptance, with zero down side of having any effect on trump’s positions.

Win, win.

And he has to win.

I think the list was PFA(plucked from the air)...I had thought of Susan Martinez as another Freeper had suggested.

It would never be rubio, kasich....he would have to trust the person he picks...those 2 are wimps.

it’s easier to say who it wouldnt be than who it would be. I wouldn’t be surprised if it is Rick Perry, ex-governor of Texas. If Perry would accept.

Next to the word WIMP, in the dictionary, is a picture of Rick Perry! Two presidential tries, two MISERABLE showings!

Trump easily wins Texas WITHOUT Perry and Cruz orf anyone else from there on the ticket!

Come on...use the brains GOD gave you!
