NEW YORK After negative reporting of his religious views, the Christian evangelist father of Ted Cruz has returned to the campaign trail in an effort to win evangelical voters in Indiana, whose primary Tuesday is regarded by many as the Texas senators last hope to keep his bid for the Republican presidential nomination alive.
While the national media largely has been silent about Rafael Cruzs re-emergence, local reporters in Indiana have covered his various appearances.
WSBT-TV in Mishawaka, Indiana, reported Rafael Cruz created a lot of excitement by showing up as a guest of Indiana Republican Gov. Mike Pence at a Wednesday night fish fry dinner of Kosciusko County Republicans.

On April 8, the Courier-Times in New Castle, Indiana, reported Rafael Cruz stopped by a local restaurant for an event that opened with a prayer from pastor Randy Gross and the singing of God Bless America by Christy Stutzman, the wife of Marlin Stutzman, a candidate for the Indiana state Senate.
Andrea Yaeter, reporting for the Courier-Times, noted Rafael Cruz discussed several hot-button issues in the Republican party including education, gay marriage, abortion, states rights and the Supreme Court.
Rafael Cruz said Washington didnt need someone who was willing to buy out people to get things done, referring to his sons Republican rival, Donald Trump.
We do not need a deal-maker in Washington, Rafael Cruz said.

Waiting for Trump fans to protest Ted's father by burning bibles.
It really is terrible that a consistent knock on Ted and his father from Drudge and here on FR is that they are "too Christian".
From posting pictures of Ted praying for the purpose of mocking him to making fun of every time he or his wife or his father invoke the name of God, you people have really lost it.

Glenn Beck Admits Cruzs VP Pic Was a Desperate Move and Last Call to Save Campaign (Video)
“It really is terrible that a consistent knock on Ted and his father from Drudge and here on FR is that they are “too Christian”.
I don’t find the Cruzes too Christian at all. Just “too Cultist.”
Big Difference.
Cruz has yet to tell Americans:
<><> what role does he plan for his preacher father in the US govt?
<><> what govt job does he plan to give his G/S globalist lawyer wife?
<><> how will Goldman Sachs factor into the US govt if Ted was at the helm?
==========================================
Recall that St Ted said we were inferior low-info voters who couldn't possible understand the global challenges ahead. BTW, Ted and Heidi Cruz/s economic libertarianism dovetails nicely w/ globalist Goldman/Sachs---who financed Ted into office. G/S is Heidi's $700,000 a year employer.
His dad is mixed up with bizarre religious cults. Before that, he was a pro-Castro communist, but he did something wrong to get on the bad side of the regime and I think it was some personality conflict and less so not being onboard with the Castro version of Euro-communism with a cigar. This version of communism takes some borrowings from Spanish fascism which was already ingrained in Hispanolia. Whatever went wrong between stubborn Cruz senior and the Castro regime, he gets to the US but never gave up on his beliefs of the “Great Transfer of Wealth” doctrine which is a permanent worm living in his head. He first gets to the US, and is a lonely loner, looking for company he trys to hang with the “Fair Play for Cuba” crowd since he still wants that “Great Transfer of Wealth” thingy (i.e. take from “them”, give to him who is “good”). But being loney, and the commies in Florida et all didn’t go over that well since they figured out he was “demoted” by the Castro regime, he is hanging out and drinking and then gets hooked up with religious cults. The initial cults were not Christian, more like Eckankar types and he probably would have been a Moonie if it were a decade or so later, but the Eckankar types weren’t interested in daddy Cruz being the “stage show”, but with the nutty Christian cultists he found a place, as well as a place for the little worm in his head called the “Great Transfer of Wealth” where he tucks in communism genre stuff into a holy robe. The Hispaniola side of it explains tagging the “Great Transfer of Wealth” commie Angels with cheering on voterless elections and double agent delegates that Ted the anointed divine birth of Daddy and who will engage the “Great Transfer of Wealth” because here we see the Spanish Falangist thingy which also has a genre in Castro Syndicalism come into play.
The Cruz thing us a dysfunctional hybrid of Castro-Falangist-Syndicalist-Hispanic Fascism-Transfer of Wealth Angels and Kings-Christ Election-Cultism.
Real bizarre messed up people here in the Cruz thingy, once Cruz goes down I seriously fear a Jim Jones event, koolaid etc.. I also suspect, seriously, daddy was hanging out with Lee Harvey Oswald.
both Cruz’s are a JOKE
jackasses cant face reality
LOSERS
The head snake handler re-appears.
Has anybody else noticed that the head snake handler only
appears in certain states. He was nowhere to be found before
the northeast primaries last week.
He seems to be selective in where he breaks out the snakes.
Why does he only want to spread the gospel in certain states?
Here, a snip from a post I did on Cruzs family background:
Sen. Cruz adds (p.31) that he remembers little else from his childhood in Calgary, though his parents were drinking heavily, and his father left my mother and me in December 1974.The elder Cruz had a religious awakening in Houston the following year and returned to his family: Shortly thereafter they sold their business in Calgary [in 1975] and moved us down to Houston, where my mother also became a born-again Christian. snip
NOTE: Above we learned that Cruz the elder had Canadian citizenship, which must have happened before he abandoned his family for approximately one year in 1974. He came back in 1975 (ish), so is it sooo unlikely that the husband AND wife would both apply for citizenship together as they had been in that country for years, and established a company there? Cruzs team has not provided the year that his father naturalized to Canada. (I think his naturalization went through just before the family returned together to the US)
Well, that wasn’t very clear.
What I meant was that it seems as though if Cruz Sr. had applied for Canadian citizenship, it wouldn’t be a big stretch to suppose that Mrs. Cruz applied at the same time.
They started a business there, had a family there, and appeared to want to be permanent citizens - as is demonstrated by Cruz Sr applying for, and gaining, Canadian citizenship. I found it odd that Cruzs campaign had made a comment (early on) that it wouldn’t even matter IF CRUZS MOM HAD BEEN A CANADIAN CITIZEN/VOTED IN CANADA because “all that mattered” was that she started out as a US citizen, so Ted was a US citizen. Boggles the mind.
Cruzs’ mom had been married and living in England for about six years before she met Cruz Sr.. Actually, she and Husband #1 were divorced after about three years of marriage, but she continued to live in England -UNTIL after she had a child out of wedlock. That infant boy died under the age of one year, and shortly after she moved to Texas. (The English birth and death records list her ex-husband as the father. He learned of the illegitimate child because coincidentally he was in the hospital at the same time the child was born! He quietly and kindly permitted the subterfuge)
Within less than a year of landing in TX she and Cruz Sr were in Canada, starting up a business.
Cruz lied in his book BTW, and claimed that his mom and her first husband were the parents of the child she had birthed in England, and the death of the child was the reason her first marriage failed. Bull pucky.
The Cruzs were divorced when Ted was a tween.
Your response is inane.
Beck is NOT a Christian he is a Mormon. He has claimed that Ted is the fulfillment of prophecy ( of the mormon church)
The ‘word from God’ that Heidi ‘received’ is as dubious as the day is long.
Has this become a church? I heard of the theory years ago, and it was only about the 7 areas which influence culture: church/religion, family, education, government, media, arts, and business/finance. The person I heard talk about it was Lance Wallnau, and he said Christians have put all their influence in the church/religion sector but neglected the other areas which influence a society. It sounded innocuous to me.
Said he’s following the Word of God?
Guess he doesn’t know a thing at all about Mormonism.
correct
Thank you. Seems to explain a lot.
I distrust Rafael because of his support for Castro and his strange (50 yr) path to citizenship. He was against the Cuban exile community and passed out literature demanding lock-up or punishment for non-Castro sympathizers in America while at UT. He ends up with five other Castro expats that were sent to Texas. Why would he bypass the Florida Cuban communities when he came thru Key West. Can’t figure out how he was immediately accepted to U of Texas and who paid for it all. How did he begin university studies with no knowledge of English? Lots of unanswered questions.
Plus, I wonder why Ted seals his records and his mother has never been interviewed. And, I distrust his father because he was a bigamist for decades. Many people here distrust his religion and his father proselytizing that faith. I never heard of his faith, but found this:
DOMINION THEOLOGY IS A BID FOR WORLDLY POWER.
Simply stated, Dominion Theology is not Biblical. It is not a doctrinal belief that emerges from a careful study of the Holy Scriptures. Typically it emerges in the heady milieu of a wave of success in a nations economic, political, and military successes. Religious enterprises soon follow this. So in this sense Dominionism is really a form of religious populism or religious nationalism.
Dominion Theology was showcased in the history of the former British Empire. It rose up in the Edwardian period during those heady early years of the 20th century. We shall be looking at the British experience with Dominion Theology further down in this article.
National pride and hubris is a great spiritual danger. The temptation is to assume power and authority over others instead of being a servant before God. This is inclined to happen when a nation comes into great blessings. The prophets of Israel warned Gods covenant people about this danger. Indeed this theme of corruption right in the midst of Gods blessings is a theme that recurs throughout the Old Testament.
