Way too many assumptions to really comment. His made up number of 500mm may be right or not. If it’s correct I’d assume Trump could do it for 200mm. He’d go for it not to traditional bundlers looking for horse trading but to Giants like Icahn and the like. He’d keep his media up with Crooked Hillary, a story per week, it’s Trump, no conventional wisdom applies.

Why would I do that? I’ve been here since 2000. I’ll still be here in November, even if it is with an “I told you so” in my tagline...

This “Trump can’t” bullshit has got to stop.

Yup. It's class envy and ignorance that drive people to say Trump cannot succeed.

If they are so smart, maybe they should tell us what's on his desk.

You mean all his bragging about not needing money from anyone and just using his own money isn’t really the case?

Trump wasn’t my first choice, but I bet he can leverage a small amount of advertising expenditure into a lot of free media coverage.

President isn't the only job up for grabs. If we don't hold the Senate, too...we're scr****.

The party better wise up....you want folks to vote Republican all the way. You want to win....you better support the "People's Candidate".

Hillary will have 50 offices and thousands of paid canvassers in Ohio and Trump will complain about the system.

Without a doubt.

No amount of money can rehabilitate that rancid witch in the eyes of America.

Trump needs only to point that out.

Trump said last June he’s willing, and ready to spend a billion of his own money.

And he can, he has a lot of it in cash, and his companies have excellent financials, with very low debt.

He can spend circles around everyone.

And yet, he has needed to spend the least, and is in first place.

Won’t it be great when our country is run like that?

Are you going to be able to tell your grandkids you voted for the Greatest Modern Day President, President Trump?

Or will you need to lie to them?

Somehow, I don’t think this is necessarily the case. She has so many negatives, that are so news worthy, such that the Republican nominee will get a lot of free news coverage just by telling the truth about her. She’s a narcissist, and I think it will be very difficult for her not to respond to derision, and she will also fuel the news cycle in this way.

There’s a saying in politics that you fight always like your 30 points behind. Yeah she has high negatives. But so does he so they could negate each other on that, I suppose.

Hillary Clinton be beat but it’s going to be very hard. First, she has a well oiled political machine. He does not. Demographics favor her. Trump will be able to make little hay out of her corruption as that’s already factored in the electorate. The Democrats may say they wont vote for her and the Bernie supporters may claim they’ll vote for Trump if she’s the nominee but most of them will vote for her once the freebies get promised..

5,000,000 donations. Ha ha ha. Trump has only raised $9M.

Ha, ha. He's never asked for donations. He should after he wins the nomination and his supporters should insist on a few money bombs.

I'd say there's at least as much chance of having to apologize to them for kicking a can down the road for them to deal with that we should have.

The GOP is willing to lose it all to a back seat. It is about them, their connected families, maintaining or growing personal wealth from access to people or information.
Never about the party or the nation. It is about their personal needs, so why not in their eyes turn it over to Hillary instead of losing ‘their thing”, to real change?

Nah! I heard for months how he is beholding to no one. Why should that change in the General? Like he says “I have billions”.

He says *Trump* would need half a billion. Is he implying that Cruz or Kasich (or whoever the eventual GOP nominee is) wouldn’t?

Trump has a decades long history, in spite of what others here might say.

He will keep his promises.

That’s a history none of the other 17 candidates can, or could claim.

There will be no need for apologies.

He said he was self funding. If that means he’s only coming up with $100 million, who will end up owning him as he attempts to come up with the cash necessary to mount a serious challenge to Hillary and the DNC?

I’ve donated to Trump several times. I want to be part of this movement.
