The New York Sun announced it is endorsing Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% in the Republican primary Tuesday.
According to the Sun:
It hasnt been our normal practice to endorse in the primaries, but this year the vote, set for Tuesday, will take on outsized importance as we career toward a contested convention. The junior senator from Texas has emerged from a crowded field by dint of his fidelity to principles limited, constitutional government, sound money, free markets, and a strong foreign policy that couldnt be at higher premium. They are the true New York Values.
Regardless of the issues presented to Cruz while on the campaign trail, including questions of public policy such as abortion and same-sex marriage, the candidate says his overriding source for decision-making is the Constitution and that the founding document is the means to unify Americans.
The conservative Sun states its editorial board is looking for a candidate who grasps, is committed to, and is excited by Americas constitutional principles.

The NEW YORK SUN! The paper that got it’s start with sensational headlines about finding Men on the Moon, with wings!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Moon_Hoax
It’s a NY newspaper with about thirty readers!!! End of story!!! The New York Sun must be high on drugs!!!
Yes, English is very confusing. Truck is another word that is used in a confusing way.
The NY Sun was published in the 2000's and then stopped publishing and went on line. I believe it is popular with Brooklyn's many conservative Orthodox Jews. And they will be a large part of the Republican primary voting in three NY CD's.
ROFL!!!! I have more people in my family than they have readers.
It's odd to my ear and yours, but it's not dangerous to faith or morals. Both words come from things from things that happen to a cart (Latin carrus). In American usage over time, careen (turning sideways in a hapless manner) started to encompass the meaning of career (speeding madly and out of control).
Promoting all type of disunity drives their agenda with the power of the government, because their failed ideas will always fail.

Nearly all liberal ideas and policies have high emotional content. That is what makes them appealing and easy to sell to the masses. Liberals detest those who point out the fallacies of their ideas by citing facts and the lessons of history. Reality creates obstacles for them.
I believe the "very conservatives" voted Cruz in the South while the "somewhat conservatives" and "moderates" voted Trump.
At least that's what I remember from the SC exit polls, I would have to check the others.
Transmission of ideas isn’t supposed to be some exercise in scholarly obtuseness. It is a method to transfer knowledge on important matters to the largest group possible, particularly if one is trying to make some effect on politics.
If the use was meant to be ‘career’ then it was academic puffery and/or elitism in my opinion.
Probably true. I still think Cruz should have left the campaign March 15th after losing 6 out of 6 contests. I still can’t believe he didn’t get any crap for that. Can you imagine if trump lost 6 out of 6 contests on March 15th? Holy cow the backlash would have been ugly.
Yep.
But here on FR it appears that they’re, there, and their...loose and lose...its and it’s give our gang the most trouble.
and we certainly hope they are registered in the Conservative Party ...
It was also famous for its response to the letter to the editor from Virginia....O’Hanlon, was it?
“Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.”
“if you see it in the Sun, it’s so.”
If Cruz wasn't still in the race, then four things...
We wouldn't have a chance for a conservative to get the nomination in the second round.
Katich would be getting more votes.
The GOPe and Kasich would be playing the delegate convention game instead of the conservative anti establishment Ted Cruz doing that, increasing the chances of the GOPe getting their way at the convention.
Trump would have free rein to move further left.
Despite the closure of the newspaper, The New York Sun website renewed activity on April 28, 2009,[6][33] prompting some observers to consider the possible implications.[6][34][35] Michael Calderone of Politico quoted Lipsky as saying not to read too much into the initial items since “...a business plan for the site is still in formation,” and “... these are just some very, very early bulbs of spring (or late winter).”
In the NYC Leftist bubble, any Conservative publication is considered a "rag."
You mean like Lory? Where is the boot? Or the bonnet, for that matter.
Conservative paper endorses Cruz
Liberal post endorsed trump
It makes sense.
Trump crybabies
