Path to certain failure: NeverTrump + NeverCruz = NeverWin = LostSCOTUS = LostFreedom = LostNation

Posted on 04/13/2016 2:36:02 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Captain obvious here again, but NeverTrump/NeverCruz is not the way. We all have our favorites, but don't lose sight of the mission.

The mission on FR is to secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our POSTERITY!!

It's a lot bigger than you or me or our personal opinions or egos. It's about the very survival of our nation and the promise of freedom for future generations.

Reagan said that freedom is never more than one generation from extinction and he was 100% correct.

President Clinton or President Sanders means the end of freedom in America.

Do not let freedom expire on our watch!!

Free Republic will support our Republican nominee whoever he is against the godless Marxist/socialist Democrats in November!!

“Ted Cruz is EXCITING.”

Not everyone agrees with that assessment.

I did hear just THAT, on Morning Joe ( on 4/13 ) from yesterday morning. I believe it was Mark Halprin who said something like “ just wait until the National Convention, when delegate by delegate gets “contested”. Something to that effect.

I didn’t hear that little gem until early this morning, when I viewed my MJ DVR recording.

Perhaps the fraudulent Trump delegates will be ejected and replaced. Perhaps FRAUD can be addressed.

KT McFarland is an awesome and savy female still in the know in DC, and well respected. Worked in Reagan administration.

Agree 1000%.The closest anyone could ever come to being the perfect President is *me*...and I'm not running. Both Trump and Cruz, regardless of how "imperfect" they might be (that is,regardless of how much you might disagree with them) would be a better President than either of the Maoist psychopaths the Rats will be nominating.

Better...TENFOLD!

America's fragile students aren't ‘snowflakes’ they're ‘dung-flakes’ - with emphasis on ‘flake’.

Hard to even guess how bad it is. Thanks for this ping!

Fraudulent delegates are a menace to the Republic.

Cruz and the religious Left applaud the tactic— call it “God’s work” and knowing the “process”.

Jackboots have to start somewhere.

Okay, we can put that down as an “undecided”. ~ Ted Cruz

The delegates are the voters at the convention.

After the first ballot falls without a winner, which definitely will happen, the delegates are no longer bound.

That was why Cruz was working the locals long before the primary began, establishing a solid relationship in each state.

For anyone that has ever been involved in a presidential election, that is job one.

This seems to support Jim’s point that Cruz, although a conservative himself, is benefiting from (being used by) moderate (liberal) GOPe party operatives.

The Wisconsin exit poll shows that Cruz beat Trump 54% to 33% with conservative voters. Trump beat Cruz 40% to 31% with moderates/liberals.

This is exactly why the fabled Cruz superior ground game will not translate into a Cruz win in any 2nd, 3rd or 4th ballots. These delegates are not Cruz loyalists, but rather GOPe loyalists who are taking advantage of Cruz and his naive supporters.

A person who claims that others are naive should at least understand that conservatives are the reason why Cruz won the Wisconsin primary and should also be more aware (for better or for worse) of who picks the delegates.

From Green Papers, these are the rules in Wisconsin for how the delegates are picked.

This delegate, whoever she is, is mentally deficient.

Delegates have to vote for someone whose name has been put “in nomination.”

That can only be someone who has legitimately acquired first ballot delegates, or someone that has garnered the required minimum number of subsequent ballot delegates to be “in nomination.”

That cannot be Hillary; she will not be at the convention.

This has to be some kind of joke.

Two words: CANADIAN CITIZEN !!!

Cruz never chose to be a citizen of Canada.

Besides that the citizenship laws of other countries are irrelevant to US laws.

Trump is a a Democrat surrounded by a Democrats who has donated to Democrats and supported progressive politics for years. His own children and advisor can’t vote for him because they are registered Democrats.

You’re wasting your time; they will not listen.

They want some mystical internecine voodoo to be the reason for anything that doesn’t fit their imagined ‘reality.’

Facts don’t cut it for Trumpers.

If Cruz is the nominee, how could he ever repair the damage done. I don’t see how you can take someone who has no clear legitimate path to 1237, has less delegates, received less of the popular vote and run him as the nominee. Millions will feel disenfranchised and stay home, affecting down ticket races.

Again and again Cruz has appeared sneaky, underhanded, dishonest....like a typical politician. The delegate schmoozing, trickery etc. is disgusting. I would feel the same way if Trump was flying them in his plane to Mar-a-lago for R & R. It’s legal but it aint right. This election has proven to the Country that average Joe will never be able to run for office. Average Joe who never participated much in the past remembers why he didn’t.
He remembers why he dislikes and distrusts politicians.

It’s hard to push the conservative outsider when you are surrounding yourself with RINOS and GOPe. Why did the cream of the crop conservatives Schafly, Palin, Sheriff Joe, Sen. Sessions, Falwell etc. endorse Trump instead of Cruz.

Gang of 8 bill. Cruz claims his changes were a “poison pill”. Really? It passed the senate 68-32. I know, I know Cruz voted Nay....but isn’t that the way the game is played. They had enough to pass it so he could vote Nay and keep up his conservative outsider schtick. The ONLY reason it failed was the defeat of Eric Cantor. Cruz didn’t save the day as many would want you to believe, BRAT did.

If not for Trump, we wouldn’t be talking about immigration this election season. Instead the topics would be the usual issues abortion, birth control, equal pay etc. And Jeb would be the anointed one.

If Trump is not the nominee, I will still vote for the republican. How do you convince the rest of the Country.

How does Cruz have a chance to take Pennsylvania, Michigan, Florida, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia and Maryland.

Cruz is a sure ticket to Hitlery, and anyone that thinks otherwise is either insane or intentionally trying to destroy the Republic.

Oh, except the Free $hit Army, Pro Politico Parasites and the GOPe/DnC apparatchiks that just want the gravy BLOOD train to keep flowing to the Deep State coffers...

How "conservatives" could support Cruz after suffering through 8 years of the FIRST unnaturalized, unAmerican POTUS is truly right out of the Twilight Zone!

Path to certain failure:

RAFAEL EDUARDO CRUZ HAS NEVER PASSED MUSTER!
